An excellent service from every point of view: perfect cleaning of the apartment, interesting tips about places to visit nearby and great courtesy and helpfulness of the host. “Great base for exploring Rome” The service by the owner, Alessio, was superb and, for a 20 euro surcharge (to pay an extra cleaner), we were able to check-in when we arrived from the airport, rather than hanging around Rome with suitcases or paying more than that for left luggage lockers at Termini Station. We were also able to check-out early (at just after 07.00) to enable us to catch our flight at no surcharge. The flat is a very good size for 4 people with tiled floors throughout. Bed linen, towels, soap etc are supplied and, whilst the flat doesn't have the safe, wood stove or washing machine mentioned in the listing, it has all of the other items and breakfast, lunch etc are easily rustled up in the kitchen. On a personal level, I'd have liked a couple of chopping boards and a sharper knife but we managed fine with what was there. The entry to the apartment block and to the flat itself are very secure with an excellent locking system and, whilst there are a few steps up from street level before the stairs up to the flat on the first floor, there is also a lift for anyone unable to manage too many stairs. The people, shopkeepers, cafe & restaurant proprieters around the flat were all friendly and helpful and there is a Fishmongers, Butchers and Greengrocers as well as a "Spar" supermarket within a couple of hundred yards. The 16, 81 & 810 buses from the city centre stop right outside the flat door and the stop, for going into the city centre is just across the street. All of these buses pass the San Giavanni Metro station and link up (at Porta San Giavanni) with loads of other buses going to anywhere you are liable to want to go to. All in all it was an excellent base for our stay in Rome at a very reasonable cost.

“Excellent choice” During our visit in Rome, we had the pleasure to spend 3 nights at Carla and Massimo rosi apartment at the center of the lovely Trastevere neighborhood. We would like to share our great enjoyment from our stay there. All our expectations were fulfilled and even more. The location, the apartment (spacious and very clean and well equipped). And above all, the welcoming feeling we got from Carla & Massimo that made us feel at home. This was a very comfortable stay for our visit in Rome. I would highly recommend it.

“Wonderfully relaxing, but convenient to get to Rome.” Stefano is the bomb and the apartment is very comfortable. we had a bit of a car emergency on the way, and he was extremely gracious about allowing us to change our dates of arrival/departure at the last minute. Absolutely fantastic communications and support. The apartment is in one of the 4-5 buildings located within a large gated area so your kids can run around and play very safely. It is far enough from Rome that you are almost "rural", but close enough to drive to the metro, park, and get into the city for the obligatory touristy things. It was great to get out of Rome - very hot, busy, crowded. The first morning we were delighted to hear the "hee-haws" of the pet burros (no, they did not wake us up). The apartment has screens! Which means you can see and smell the great outdoors, without the bugs. The beds are comfortable, and there is plenty of space. The kitchen was very user-friendly, lots of pots, dishes, and utensils. The shower was a little small, but still very nice with a rain-shower. Plenty of towels, linen, etc. Highly recommend.

“Comfortable Place, Nice Neighborhood, Friendly Hosts.” Stayed five nights over the holidays including New Year's Eve, which is celebrated with great enthusiasm in this quiet neighborhood just outside of Rome. The sky was filled with fireworks at midnight, but the tranquil neighborhood returned the next day. The apartment was very spacious and immaculate, with lovely decorations and nice furniture. There were five of us and it could easily handle more. It had a nice kitchen in which we made several meals. We also picked up dinner to-go at the restaurant on the corner one evening and shopped at the local grocery store nearby. It was a pleasure to be in a real Italian neighborhood away from the crowds of tourists. It is easy to get into Rome. We had a car and, on host Maurizio's advice, drove to the Circus Maximus and parked without a problem, only about a twenty minute trip. There is also regular bus service just up the street. Ostia antica, which is well worth a visit, is very close as well. Rome has many must-see sites, but we found that we thoroughly enjoyed retreating to this lovely apartment in a quiet neighborhood after a day of battling the crowds. Maurizio is easy to communicate with, speaking perfect English, and his mother was an added treat. She speaks no English at all but checked us in and showed us how to work everything in the apartment. She even took us to the grocery store on the night of our arrival.
