“Spacious and comfortable” My family and a friend's family spent a wonderful week in Nicaragua, and we were amazed at the beauty of this country and the people. When we arrived at this beach house, I was impressed by the large living areas of the house and great design. Our family spent one of our most memorable vacations. The feeling of being in front of the ocean, nobody to bother you at the beach, being with nature as it was originally made, not artificial. This was outstanding. Otilia and Pepe, the housekeepers were outstanding and friendly, and taught our kids many Spanish words. We go back with a collection of shells, lots of pictures and a broken heart. We will return!

“Incredible!!!” I was so nervous to book a villa from a private owner over the Internet but We decided to take the chance, and two weeks later we were absolutely blown away. This villa was truly a beautiful adventure. The villa was huge! There was only two of us and our little girl so we really only used a couple rooms total. The architecture inside was breath taking. Surrounding our villa was a family of howling monkeys, which was so cool to see! With the security guard standing outside our villa 24hrs, as well as the secured gate to enter the community, we always felt safe. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!! It was truly incredible.

Luxury MODERN Villa Wow Terraces & Ocean views

“The best views you might ever find” My wife and I traveled to Nicaragua for our honeymoon and spent seven days in San Juan Del Sur at Villa V. We are in our later 20s and did not have a vehicle during our trip. In short, we loved our time in Sjds and were always eager to come back to Villa V after a day of activities. I would certainly recommend it to those staying in the area. Pros: -The views are absolutely stunning. None of the pictures can really do it justice. When you walk get out onto the terrace, there is a major "wow" factor. -You can tell that the house itself was well thought out. When you open the glass doors, you have the ultimate in indoor/outdoor living. The kitchen has every utensil that you could dream of using. The internet and cable worked great (did not get either in main bedroom, but no big deal). -Nelson, the property caretaker was a great 'host'. He does not speak English but we never had an issue with that and enjoyed practicing our Spanish with him. -Zero mosquitoes! Cons: -There are keypads on the doors, but we only got keys. There's a home alarm system, but it's not used (never felt unsafe). There's a dryer but we were asked not to use. There's a waterfall in pool, but the welcome instructions made it seem like its unnecessary/hassle to turn on. All minor things, but we just didn't get the full "Welcome" feeling. -Irrelevant if you're renting a car, but walking was important to us and we were told 10-15 minutes max to get to town. We're relatively fast walkers, and it took us ~30 minutes to the market each day (which is consistent with Google maps). At night its taxi only, but with some Spanish/negotiation $8-10 seems to be the price. I know they are working on it, but would have loved if the owner knew of a reliable taxi or two in town that we could have used. Wish I could give 4.5 stars. Regardless, we would love to stay here again, likely with a another couple or two next time. Happy to answer any questions about my experience at Villa V or Sjds in general.

“It was an amazing time!” We were on our honeymoon and wanted a place where we can relax and enjoy. Staying at Casa Selva delivered and then some. On our stay, we had all of the conveniences such as a full baths, spacious bedrooms and living areas, cleaning services, security, bbq, and a well equipped kitchen, right down to all the necessary spices to cook various cuisines. The best feature was the amazing views and gorgeous sunsets. Close to town and beaches. Highly recommend staying at Casa Selva.

“Can't beat the view” This is a beautiful house in a fabulous spot on the outskirts of San Juan del Sur. There is a great breeze on the hill to keep you cool while working on your tan or lounging in the shady hammock. The view of the Pacific is amazing, we spent hours just sitting on the porch or swimming in the pool looking out over the bay. We spotted humpback whales on multiple occasions and could even seen them breaching. Howler monkeys and chirping geckos also kept us company! The house itself is gorgeous; lots of hard wood, local tile, custom everything. It's very beautiful and very comfortable. We all felt at home right away. The care takers at the house are also great, very helpful and friendly. It was nice to be outside of busy San Juan but still be within walking distance for evenings when you want some night life or to book tours, etc. Otherwise, staying in at the house is great, as well. The pool is lovely and there is a fully equipped kitchen, board games, books, etc. There are multiple beaches within walking distance and many others just a short bus ride away. Our group had a really wonderful time and couldn't have asked for anything else!
