“Paradise found at The Cozy Cottage on Lake Travis!!!” Speaking for our entire family, I want to thank you for an amazing four day vacation/experience. Upon arriving at Living Waters, we were immediately drawn into the peaceful, inspirational environment that encompasses the "compound". "The Cottage" was perfect for the seven of us. After we arrived, we sat out on the back porch to admire our surroundings. Bethany arrived to give us some wonderful advice as to what to see and do in and around Spicewood. Her charm and enthusiasm immediately got us all excited about our next few days of activities. Our next activities were from Bethany and Travis's recommendations: visits to the Stone House and Spicewood Wineries and swimming at Krause Springs. I saved the best recommendation for last: The Friday night Tomato Happy Hour with Kathleen. We met so many wonderful "regulars" as well as the other two couples who were staying at Living Waters. It was a memorable experience. Kathleen is an amazing person. After I read her little book that was upstairs in the cottage, I couldn't wait to talk with her. She bonded instantly with our family and the children were taken in by her warmth and friendliness. Little Haynie hadn't come home by the time we left so Kathleen invited us to come back the next morning, bright and early, so that we could meet him. We set our alarms for 6:30 am and we were not disappointed. My grandson Evan (age 10) said that petting a deer was one of the most wonderful experiences he's ever had. We all decided that we wanted to have a pet deer of our own!!! Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to experience life in that little corner of heaven called Living Waters. “Private paradise!” I had the opportunity to travel to Utila, Honduras and stayed at La Mayur. The house is newly built, and has a lot to offer, from the spacious area with a wrap around deck that gives a gorgeous view of the island, surrounded by lush, tropical plants, and being able to have a lot of peace and quiet, and privacy! The location is great because it's about an 8 minute walk to the main road. The island itself is not big, so even if you don't want to walk, a tuk-tuk can take you anywhere for about 18 lempira ($1)! At the house my favourite place to sit was the swing outside on the tree, while hearing the soothing sounds of the water stream going into the pond. The house has a lot of room for entertaining, with a spacious kitchen. Perhaps the best part of the trip was getting a chance to meet a lot of the locals in an island that has tourists, but keeps its authenticity. The people are really friendly, and you can find yourself making conversation with the waitress in the restaurant, the the souveneir shops, and just about anywhere else! Looking forward to returning!

“Great cozy home away from home.” We stayed in the Orleans bungalo apartment on July 15-18. It felt like we were at home. The apartment had lots of character and charm. Loved sitting outside on the terrace watching the free entertainment across the street , was it called the ship wrecked bar? I especially loved beiing able to go to the back alley and washing clothes. (I hope it belonged to the cottages property, if not then oops!) We utilized the kitchen and the gas grill out back on the patio.Everything was great and this cottage had plenty of space for two families. We met my cousins from Texas in Flordia for a vaca. We drove from Oklahoma. The flat screens worked great. I have no complaints about this place. I just want to say to all you all snotty people leaving negative comments.... Quit complaining or find somewhere else to stay. What exactly do you think you are getting when you hear the word "cottages" it's not going to have a bell hop and a maid that cleans up your messes daily. Maybe some of you never lived in 100 year old homes and only used to a lavish lifestyle. Obviously you spent your time in doors. not us we were at the beach the majority of the day until almost 9pm every night. I enjoyed my stay there. It was a good 3 day stay for us despite the rainy weather. Yet we still had fun.

“Location yes! housekeeping staff no...” Hello, we just came back from a week in Ocho Rios and had a fantastic time. The condo we rented was not in the tower shown in the picture but in the adjacent hotel, which was good too. And yes, location in great. Right next to a nice beach with a pool in the complex. So, as I mentioned, location was great. However, housekeeping left to be desired. We were told that the condo would be cleaned every 2 days, but after 3 days, no one had come to bring fresh towels or toilet paper! We had to call and call to get some service. Also, when we asked for some dishwashing soap, we were told to use either hand soap or soap for clothes. So aside from the little hickups with the housekeeping staff, I would recommend this rental.
