“Happy Bali Vacation@ A.W.E.S.O.M.E Villa =)” We booked this villa from the owner, Antonius just days before our trip after seeing the good reviews and beautiful pictures. His response to our emails was prompt & helpful. I will say a personal touch as it was more like booking from a family friend. If you are concerned that the pictures were be different from the actual look of the villa. There is really nothing to worry, as the place was well-equipped & pretty. It was a 5D4N stay for my family with airport pickup. The driver for our airport pickup even came an hour b4 our flight landed! The villa was located in Seminyak whereby there are really lots of great food within short distance like Naughty Nuri, Kuteda, Potatohead, Sea Circus, The Bistrot, Rumours (Taxi Fare: SGD$2-3) & a supermarket right outside the main road of our villa . We even managed to get some great souvenirs from there. Most important is our favourite SPA BALI for massage needs is just less than $2(cab fare) away too! Getting a taxi is not difficult as well if you do not have a hired driver as you can find a lot right outside the main road. My family indeed enjoyed our 1st villa experience. It was also the 1st time that we experienced the service whereby we were given a local mobile for us so that it is much more convenient & having 2 butlers to help us with the daily cleaning and ensuring that we enjoyed our stay. They even buy fruits, cut them and do juices for us as part of their service. They also speak fluent English so language wasn't a problem. During our stay, we hired a driver to bring us around as we felt that it will be much more convenient & the price was reasonable but he got lost when he tried to locate our villa on the 1st day. Antonius was very helpful to him, giving him the directions to the villa when he called him for help as he could not get us on our local mobile. He even gave one of the butler a call to check on us to see if our hired driver found us. Indeed, an extra mile service. Thank You, Antonius!! If my friends will to come Bali, I will definitely recommend them Villa Agni as we really enjoyed our stay. Great Service with a personal touch! =) Actually, I was already sharing with them how great the place is on my first day & recommending them!! hahaa... =)

“Best birthday I could have had” Villa ketumber was exactly as described and the photo were an excellent indication of how this villa is. Travelling with my grown family and a few of their friends there was room for everyone. Nice and close to everything we wanted. Staff were very helpful especially ajan the gardener who went above and beyond many times for us all. We loved tickis the cat even if she can be a little noisy through the night lol . Hadrien was fantastic with his quick responses to any queries we had before coming and showed great compassion for an incident we had while we stayed there. Have stayed in villas many times in Bali and this was my favourite.

“beautiful villa” great villa for large families and friends. Pool was amazing as well as the rooms and amenities. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Large entertainment area, Is a bit of a walk to main Seminyak area but transport was always available at around $3-$4 AUS. would recommend

“Fantastic stay in a tropical paradise” We stayed at Villa Elleo over the Easter long weekend and we could not have been happier with our choice. To begin with Ketut was extremely helpful in helping us arrange our stay with timely responses to emails and even helping us arrange dinner on our first night as our plan was arriving late. The villa looked exactly like the photos and was extremely comfortable. The house staff were by far what made it an enjoyable experience, they were so friendly and helpful, organising massages in the villa, preparing breakfasts and fresh coconuts. We also thoroughly enjoyed Nyoman card tricks. With the night security Made we always felt safe and he even helped arrange late night take out for us. The villa has a perfect location, tucked away so it's nice and quiet but only a few minutes walk from the main area of Seminyak, with plenty of markets, and restaurants to choose from. Overall everyone was extrely happy with our decision to stay at Villa Elleo, and we would not hesitate to both recommend or re-book the villa for our next stay. “Best accommodation of our entire trip” Myself and two friends travelled to Bali late in January, which was the first visit to Indonesia for all of us. Our first stop was Angel Villa and it was the best introduction to Bali we could possibly have asked for. Annie and Rod (as well as being fantastic hosts) are so knowledgeable not only of Balinese culture, but also of the local surrounds, and so for Bali novices like ourselves, we found ourselves saying "We'll ask Annie when we get back" whenever there was something we didn't fully understand, and without fail, they had the answers. Their recommendations were consistently spot on, not only for fantastic local places to eat and drink, but also for shopping destinations like for silver jewelery etc, and the best ways to get around - locally, as well as off to our next destination. We stayed in the Poolside room, which is the larger room of the two on offer, and is lovely and light, with fans and air-con to relieve the humid and hot temperatures. On days we weren't out exploring, the Villa was a fantastic place to relax - we spent a lot of time on the balai or relaxing by the pool, reading, playing cards and/or having a couple of bintangs. The gardens are exquisite and provide a brilliant oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the streets. Given it's a homestay there is a fully equipped kitchen, and while we used it for snacks only, if you were interested in cooking a 'proper' meal you'd find everything you need, and the local supermarket is a 5 min walk away. The location in Mas is great - out of the crazy-ness of Ubud which is a huge plus, but still easy enough to get in to Ubud if and when you want to. Local market is spitting distance away for all things fresh (and is a must visit), as are cheap warungs for delicious local style food, as well as slightly more expensive restaurant style places if you so desire. Great bar called Dstar which has live music a few times a week is also easy walking distance away. Oh, and did I mention the pool?!?! As hosts Annie and Rod are very respectful - there when you need them, but at the same time it really felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time. There is no curfew, and we all felt very comfortable to come and go as we pleased. And I know it' might seem like a small thing, but over our couple of weeks in both Bali and on the Gili Islands, Angel Villa had by far the absolute best water pressure of all our accommodation choices! Loved staying here, would return without hesitation.

“Beautiful setting in an authentic Bali villa with everything you” Helen and Kadeo could no have been more welcoming. Helen gave us lots of information before we arrived and provided a few things we asked for including airport pick up and a brand new baby car seat. We were pleasantly surprised by the walk to the villa having imagined a bit of a trek it really was only 5 minutes through the rice paddies which we easily managed with two asleep children (aged 3 & 4) and our bags with kareoke help and a torch! It all added to a sense of adventure. In the day light this walk was wonderful and we saw beautiful views villas and lots of wildlife including ducks frogs dragonfly dogs etc to the delight of the boys. Karens breakfast was gorgeous and she was very good with the kids. The villa was beautifully decorated but so you didn't feel at home and they encouraged us to move anything around to make us happy. The two bedrooms outdoor ensuites and huge open plan living area was lovely with ceiling fans and aC. The outdoor patio, pool and Bali hut were stunning and very private with high walls and a lovely wooden door out to the paddies. We stayed 5 days and spent one at the elephant sanctuary which was well worth the pricy entrance, Kadek arranged a driver for around $30 au for 4-5 hrs. We felt quite close to Ubud centre too but didn't walk there only because it was a bit tricky on the narrow roads with kids but taxis were good and very cheap. We are at dreams cafe on the oath many times and loved the food and ambience my son started to look like banana fritters and my husband and I like nasi goreng! Amazing place and we felt so welcome thanks again to Helen for her lovely impromptu australia Day get together we were so kindly included in! Btw we took every mozzie repellant and had no problems or need for it also no sickness which is quite am achievement when your toddler eats off the floor! Highly recommend pondok iman for families or couples.

“Very authentic Ubud living from hospitable host” In our week's stay in Bali, Ubud was the 2nd destination and we loved it. No doubt Ubud is known for it's art works and culture and agung had made sure that his villa resembles the very essence of it. The villa is located right at the south-west edge of Ubud and is not the easiest place to be found. On the way, one can find all the marvelous wood carved artifacts on the village streets. The villa was built away from the main street in a quieter area with greeneries all around. It's amazing to find so much of trees around, yet there was not much of an issue with bugs/insects/mosquitoes. The kitchen is located just besides the cool private pool where we could enjoy the evening with some drinks and delicious local dishes. If you're interested in local cuisines, check out "Soka Kitchen" who had served the best authentic Balinese dishes at a very reasonable price (they also have home delivery which is even more convenient). None of the rooms got any aC, but Ubud is rather cooler compared to other parts of Bali and so we felt rather comfortable with the stand fans. Agung was extremely helpful all the way and gave us 1st hand experience of the local attractions and culture of Ubud. He himself had taken us around Ubud with visits to Monkey forest, the museums, art galleries, the spectacular rice fields. Pity we didn't have enough time to check out the Balinese dance or religious rituals in the local temples. A walk around the village in the morning breathing the fresh air and greeted with smiling locals is an unique experience and I'd suggest if you're looking for a trip to Bali, spend a few days in Ubud. Agung's villa can provide all amenities at a reasonable price for a family vacation.

“Great Location, Price and Great Holiday in Bali!” We have been to Bali on several family holidays but never stayed at a villa before but always will from now on! We were picked up at the airport and then greeted by Kadek the staff at the villa even though after midnight with welcome drinks and a couple of things we requested waiting for us! The villa was really comfortable and much less than other villas which was important for us for a holiday on a budget. The kids loved the pool and the villa was well equipped with everything we needed. Kadek the housekeeper was great and always had everything clean even if the kids made a mess! Steve the owner helped out by making everything easy and organising some drivers and tours which we very recommend Wayan for as he was brilliant! Thanks so much also for the gift for our childrens birthday it made it a special birthday in Bali for Emily :) See you all again soon!

“Comfortable, cheap and away from the crowds.” A nice big room with everything you need, run by a very friendly couple. The house is far enough away from the busy tourist areas to be peaceful, but close enough to easily reach the main Seminyak/Legian/Kuta areas. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is after a quite and comfortable place to stay.

“Bohemian Hideaway” First off let me say that Boyd is a great host! He answered all of our questions and made the process of renting his Villa super easy. After we arrived he helped us with coordinating car rentals and also gave us tips on where to go. He's been in Bali for so long and knows the island really well. From restaurants to clubs to sightseeing he's a great resource. Second, the location of Villa Bohemia is awesome. It's off the main road but set back enough that you have a very quiet and serene environment. Easy to find and perfect cause it is central to everything. Plus, there is a big 24 hour convenience store within 5 minutes walking distance so you never run out of supplies. Getting a taxi is super easy too, cause the main street is full of them. We went to Kuta for less than 3 dollars. Third, price is great for the value you get. There is a small pool with a waterfall, nice kitchen, beautiful garden and patio area. The bedrooms are spacious and the a/C is cool. Tv is nice and so is the stereo system. Place is super clean and marble floors aren't too shabby! It's really well decorated and feels cozy comfortable and upscale all at the same time. Overall our 1 week stay at Villa Bohemia was wonderful. Thank you Boyd and we had a wonderful trip and

“Life changing experience!” Please convey my heartfelt thoughts to Wayan and Putri for their exceptional care and love that they showed my Daughter and myself during our stay. I didn't give enough credit when Wayan asked me about my preferences when we switched to staying at the home closer into Ubud. We honestly preferred the Swallowhouse after experiencing the second location because of the comfort of the beds, the fantastic night air, and the incredible culinary delights that Putri graced us with! Being a Master Chef, I have great appreciation for the meals that she provided. Also, being a world traveller, I can't express enough gratitude for the care that Wayan took for our tours and giving us a life changing trip and precious memories that I hope to build upon when we return to Bali. As two very adventurous women traveling alone, he provided all the added information and kept us safe during our entire stay. We feel incredibly honored and blessed to have visited places like the temple ceremony, his son's school, and his home compound and village, along with the authentic crafts and artisan villages that he supports. We loved seeing the "real" Bali and meeting the generations of families who share their generations of knowledge and products for those interested in having that kind of experience. Wayan asked if there were any suggestions that we could give and honestly, there is only one to have greater internet access for both Mac and Pc owners. However, I say that reluctantly, because a huge part of the charm and beauty of the Swallowhouse lies in being able to really unplug and become immersed in the culture and experience of Bali. There will always be travelers who need the upscale comforts but let them go to the big hotels ~ you honestly don't want that kind of person staying with you anyway ~ that comes from my years of working at The Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons! (high maintenance people are not fun!)
