“Perfect in every way” This apartment is a perfect blend of sophistication and comfort. Tastefully decorated and well equipped, it is ideally locally just outside the tourist area so you feel like you get a taste of real Barcelona but close enough to the main attractions for walking. All these aspects would make it a great base for a visit to Barcelona. What makes it particularly special was the very warm welcome from Isobel and the fridge full of goodies that enhanced the welcome. Wine, beer and chocolates are by no means essential but are truly generous gifts that elevate the quality of the stay. I would recommend this apartment to all my friends and very much hope to return in the future

“Spacious with breathtaking views, an incredible experience” I stayed here while travelling Europe with my wife on our honeymoon. We wanted a true Tuscany experience and finding La Balconata was an absolute gem!! Pictures simply can't do this location justice, it is everything we could have hoped for and more. Reading a book overlooking the mountains is a unique, peaceful experience. The perfect getaway location if you want to avoid staying near tourists and children(!) The house is huge with tall ceilings, very clean and comfortable. It feels like Tuscany inside and out where i think the hosts have taken good care in keeping with a rustic, homely feel. I can imagine it's very cosy during winter. You need a car here. It's a convenient location for visiting nearby towns and villages to really soak in the spirit of Tuscany. Lucca is a fantastic city well worth visiting and if you fancy sunbathing on the beach, i recommend Viareggio. There was simply too much to take in during our short stay but we'd certainly come back. Not only was this a favourite spot on our honeymoon, it was also one of the cheapest

“Beautifully furnished and equipped apartment in a wonderful loca” Fantastic views and a great location. The apartment is incredibly well furnished and equipped; the owner has thought of everything. Our daughter found the sofa bed very comfortable. Great selection of books and Dvds. A short drive to either Como or Bellagio. The restaurant "Vapore" is directly below; excellent service and very reasonable prices.

“Beautiful apartment for ocean and hiking enjoyment” My friend and I stayed at IL patio for 5 nights; it was a fantastic stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well furnished. The breeze from the sea at night kept us cool with the windows open. The apt. was located up some stairs, but it was a gorgeous view. Piera was a gracious hostess and gave us good advice about hiking and dining. This location also has close access to the best swimming in Cinque Terre!

“Great house and surroundings in Badia Tedalda” We had a great time in this lovely located holiday house. A great swimming pool with a magnificant view. If you like a relaxed holiday this is the place. The lady who takes care of the house daily can also like to prepare a wonderfull dinner at the house. Reservation a few days in advance. “Absolutely amazing apt., all renovated, totally stocked & no detail forgotten” Wow, wow, wow. Great location with cafes and shops right out the door on beautiful place Gracia and metro just across the street. Brand new furniture, beds and everything you could need in the kitchen (not that we cooked-but you certainly could!) Showers were enormous with great water pressure even when all three were in use. Super soft towels and fluffy robes were placed for all 4 grownups. The owner stocked the kitchen like a 5 star hotel with nespresso pods, coffee creamers, jam, biscuits, tea, coke, beer, water and beautiful welcome treats. Both bedrooms are more than "masters" - perfect for 2 couples traveling with kids or grandparents, extended family etc.-no one feels like they're getting the less nice room. There are automatic shutters that make it so dark, you have to set an alarm or risk sleeping really late. Even though its right on Gracia and it can be a little loud if the windows are open, it it totally quite with the double paned windows. There's also AC in every room that can be individually controlled. There are bluetooth music speakers so you can have music from your phone and state of the art electricity system where you hit one button when you walk out the door and it shuts all the lights out. The two kids bedrooms are quite tight (two twin beds each in a perpendicular arrangement) and no place to hang clothes but had drawer space so it worked fine for us. I can't emphasize enough how everything is just perfect and very high end. The owner was extremely enthusiastic, helpful and responsive to any questions and delighted in showing us all the details. The only downside was the booking process was a bit convoluted with various agencies/contacts and a very inconvenient payment process (other than the initial payment by CC which was great). Since we were the first guests to stay here I believe they will sort the payment process out and add a welcome manual with local grocery, restaurant recommendations, etc. which will make it even more perfect. I am a VRBO owner and am very picky about every detail and I just can't describe what a wonderful experience this was. The owner also had brochures for all the sights, art books, guide books, umbrellas, safety waist packs, first aid kit, beautiful bathroom lotions, cottons pads, and the list goes on. I would definitely recommend this unparalleled property.

“Family Memories” Our stay was everything we expected and more. The villa was beautiful and very comfortable for our family of 8 (4 adults & 4 teenagers). There was plenty of room for everyone, including 3 different tables where we could all dine together. We cooked most nights and had everything we needed. We loved having a full-size refrigerator and a washing machine. The location was very convenient to grocery shopping and the train station for our day trips. The scenery was incredible and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool. Our hosts were very attentive and helpful. They gave us very helpful information on the area and arranged a wonderful chef for an evening. It is obvious the Della Santa family takes great pride in their property and wants to make sure their guests are happy and have everything they need. We highly recommend this property for a memorable vacation.

“Beautiful location and villa, gracious and helpful hosts” I researched extensively before choosing this villa and it more than met our expectations. From the first email Emanuele and his family provided excellent service and were accessible and helpful. Moreover, they made us feel like more than paying guests, more like friends. The villa itself was very spacious and roomy, with a kitchen that had everything we needed. The views are spectacular, and it's quiet and peaceful. I would recommend doing both the pizza night and the cooking night. Both were excellent. Our stay couldn't have been any better. We would highly recommend this villa.
