“Fabulous Experience” My husband and I are looking for a place to unwind and breathe in the fresh air. We need serenity from the urban life style two professionals endure. We are amazed at this beautiful home and all the amenities it provides.This house and the guest home is built and furnished with incredible taste. A keen eye for every detail is evident upon the entry of this home. The view...wow, the view of San Jose at night is absolutely breathtaking. This is a home and a trip to Grecia, Costa Rica that will forever be close to our hearts. I suggest anyone visit this outstanding estate...that is, if we purchase it first!

“Great Place!” My husband and I, had a great time at this condo. It was well maintained and perfect for our family. Having the pool close by on the ground floor was perfect for my kids and Claudia at the reception was incredibly helpful. I really appreciated all the help Tony provided prior to the trip. We referenced his helpful tips and recommendations throughout the trip and it really enhanced our vacation experience. We would definitely stay here again.

“All around awesome!” Villa Hermosa is a gorgeous property located about 15 minutes outside of the city center. The drive from La Fortuna takes about 15 minutes which offers a look at what this amazing place in Costa Rica has to offer. Once you arrive you are greeted by Wendy, the owner, who is extremely welcoming and accommodating. She recommended activities and locations to visit while we were in the area. This saved us so much time and allowed us to enjoy every second. Before we got there, she gave us information about driving in Costa Rica, navigating the airport, etc. (so helpful!!) I would recommend renting a car if you plan on doing a lot of activities, but if you plan on lying around the property I'm sure there are other transportation options. The property is even better than even what we expected. My wife and I were kicking ourselves for not asking some friends to join us on the trip because there are plenty of amenities on the grounds to entertain 4 people. The private pool, outdoor dining and seating areas, kitchen, hammocks and garden were amazing. We found ourselves just wanting to hang in the hammocks listening to nature with a cocktail or coffee. It was so peaceful and calming! One recommendation I would have for travelers is to go to The Springs (a nearby resort) for their natural hot springs experience. My wife and I spent our evenings there lounging around in their thermal springs and it is about a 5 minute drive from Villa Hermosa. For $50 each, we got a 2 day pass to use the tubs. We especially enjoyed visiting the animal Rescue Center that they have on grounds (complementary tour with the pass). Overall - We couldn't have enjoyed our stay at the Villa Hermosa more. Wendy has done an amazing job at making this a one of a kind stay! The breakfasts were yummy, it was so nice waking up to fresh coffee daily was amazing, and staying here made our trip complete. “Absolutely fantastic” We were a family of 8 travelling from Canada... 4 daughters aged 12 to 23, son-in-law and boyfriend, plus my wife and I. Everything about the trip was fantastic. The listing was not accurate...because the pictures don't do it justice! Unbelievable size, layout, comfort, etc. and what a view. The monkeys came by most days and the weather was perfect. Absolutely perfect. We were very comfortable with 8 people ...and there was room for more. Alex is excellent in his organizing of all our activities. We tried the horse back riding, repelling, national park tour and catamaran sail. All highly recommended. He organizes for pick up and drop off at the front door. Local restaurants were excellent too. Although cab drivers told us the walk to the beach was either "too long or too dangerous (due to traffic)", we walked it every day without problem. It was a great way to get some exercise after spending a day at the beach. Another thing alex did was organize an on-site meal provided by a local chef (Kukula?). It was one of the best meals we have ever had, and we do a lot of travelling. We didn't rent a car, as the local grocery store was within walking distance, as were the restaurants, and we didn't mind the 20 minute walk to the beach. We flew to San Jose, and alex organized the 2 1/2 trip for pick up and drop off at the end of the stay. The house was cleaned every day (we didn't realize that), and there are laundry facilities on site. We definitely over-packed. This is a flip flop and short/swim suit vacation. We didn't need to wear a sweater at any time during our stay. We will go back and I recommend this for families, couples, etc. The only caution I would have is for those with small children. The building code is no where near the restrictions that we have in Canada, and as such, the area around the main floor, infinity pool and stairs may be a safety hazard for small children. For adults, it adds to the beauty of this spectacular place! A+++
