“Very relaxing” The property makes for an excellent base for travelling to the coast or the North Yorkshire Moors. The property owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The property is spotlessly clean. The pub is just two minutes walk across the road; the food and service are second to none and the staff are very accommodating and everyone is dog friendly. This was our second visit to this property and we will probably visit again.

“well worth it.” The barn conversion was well set out and the location was spot on. It is set in a quiet location act yet only twenty mins from Whitby and other places alike. Overall it was a great place and we will go again.

“Wonderful” When we arrived at Wheelhouse, we were immediately met by our hostess who could not have been more helpful. On opening the door to this immaculate cottage, we entered a spacious hallway and with billowing curtains...it was a hot sunny day the 1st week of June, so Sharon had opened the windows and patio doors to let the air circulate for us. It was perfect! a welcome, balloon, bottle of wine and other goodies were left for us. It was The nicest cottage we have stayed in. All 3 bedrooms were big, airy and comfortable. Excellent bathroom and kitchen facilities and the living room room/ kitchen opens up onto a private courtyard with table, chairs and an umbrella for shade. The cottage was beautifully and tastefully decorated, not too fussy with too many ornaments to break! all in all, it was a perfect holiday destination.

“Really great cottage in a great location” We had a lovely stay here Kirkby Moorside is a lovely place and the cottage was a perfect base. There is a great playground just a minute from the cottage and great dog walking. The cottage was just lovely a real home from home, one we would definately like to return to.

“3 generations and 2 dogs” We spent a very successful week here in the spring with our daughter, baby grandson and two border terriers. With excellent walks just outside the door and shopping only minutes away by car, it served our various needs well. The cottage is comfortable and the kitchen is well-equipped. The double bedroom is very small so don't take big cases or loads of clothes because there is very limited storage. However we were able to fit a dog cage in the lobby where our two dogs slept comfortably. We even entertained friends to lunch and the cottage coped well.

“What a great cottage” Lovely cottage. Located on the edge of a small village which is only two miles from a town with many shops and restaurants. The cottage itself was spotless when we arrived. Cosy yet felt spacious as each of the five rooms was set out on its own level. Equipped with everything we could possibly need, including soft duvets, fire wood and a much welcomed bottle of wine.
