“Marvellous” A beautiful apartment in a beautiful town. Charmimg people and a joy to stay in. I don't want to say too much more as I don't want loads of visitors going to Modica and spoiling it.

“September 2011” Beautiful setting outside Modica, a car is essential to get around. Antony is very friendly and always helpful. Only downside, the Wlan could use a boost.

18th Century Home with Captivating Historic Charm
Modern spacious comfort in beautiful historic bones

The apartment was the best of nine two bedroom apartments we have encountered so far on our travels through Italy. Italian apartments in historic centres are usually small but this apartment has an upper level with an open plan connection between kitchen, dining and lounge but at the same time these spaces are all still their own rooms - not massive but spacious and comfortable for 5. Add the two outdoor spaces and everyone can find their own hot/cool/quiet space as needs in this light and open level. The kitchen was also the best appointed we've come across and the easy parking close by was also the location of the fresh fish and vege stalls. The downstairs bedrooms were very generous and comfortable and the two bathrooms modern and comparitively large. We loved Modica for its baroque charm but also it's realness. Unfortunately too many historic italian towns have turned into tourist museums and/or upmarket shopping centres for tourists and the locals have shifted to cheaper locations. Not so in Modica, it's a bustling town with lots of real shops. lots of locals with plenty of great food options and it all starts just 5 minutes from your door. … see more

What a wonderful place ! we enjoyed the place just like the pictures promised we would : located at the hart of ancient Modica, the place offers a splendid view on the valley and St George Dome, which enchanted our breakfasts and evening dinners in the kitchen or on the terrace. This little house is a piece of art of great comfort and taste. Casa Orni è una casa da sogno!

Casa Orni is a cosy, well furnished and graciously decorated appartment with a spacious terrace, offering a mesmerizing view on old town Modica. The welcoming with flowers and fruits is hearthwarming. The place looks very nice on the photos, but the reality is even better and was beyond any of our expectations. It takes about 45 minutes to drive from Comiso airport and there is parking at 5 minutes walking distance from the house. Note that you need to do stairs to and from the house, as well as in Modica in general, since this is a town surrounded by hills. But the famous, delicious chocolat, the many nice restaurants, cosy coffee bars and the friendly people are worth every step. … see more

Perfect stay in Modica

The time passed away very (too) fast. We are back in Germany, but our minds are still in Modica... We enjoyed the peacefull Location, the old Houses of Modica, the view from the patio at St. George or simply the wonderful arranged garden. We saw pictures from the first Moments of the renovation and have to congratulate you for your vision how to develop this old House to such an unique villa. We want to thank you for these great Moments we had in Sicilia. And - of course - don´t want to forget to mention, that amelia was a very, very kindly Person, who helps us all the time... … see more

Great Place to Stay

From arrival to departure Georgio and especially anthony, who lives on site couldn't be more helpful. Accommodation was great, fabulous pool. Though out of town a little there were plenty of day trips to do and a fantastic restaurant within walking distance. When driving for us girls got a little hairy (especially in Modica) Anthony arranged for Mr Massimo (who transferred us from Catania airport) to help us out, thank you for a fun 5 days. … see more
