“A Beautiful Well Equipped Ocean Front Villa” Seldom is a rental property better than it appears on-line. The Villa de la Plage looked wonderful in the listing photographs and was actually even better than we had expected when we arrived. We were 4 couples wanting a private villa with beach access, ocean views, a pool and walking distance to shops and restaurants. This property met these requirements. Pros: Location: Ideal ocean front location with direct access to a beautiful huge beach. In a quiet area yet an easy 1 km walk to the excitement of Albufiera's old and new towns. A small store and beach front restaurant were conveniently a very short walk way. Very well equipped: The kitchen facilities were modern and easy to use. A coffee and an expresso maker were a plus in the mornings. Comprehensive kitchen cutlery, plates, glasses, cookware, etc. and a barbeque. Laundry facilities lacked a clothes drier but in this climate, everything dried quickly on the provided drying rack without wasting electricity. WiFi access was excellent. Clean, modern and large washrooms. Management: The meet and greet staff were efficient and we were surprised to have three housekeeping visits during our two week stay. And a first for us was an email from the owner mid-stay to ask us if everything was ok which it was. We had a delicious dinner prepared for us one night by a nice lady, Regina, who the owner had recommended. Cons: None of any significance. No easy way to recycled empty bottles, although we found that if we separated them from trash a local entrepreneur seemed to make them disappear. Mosquitoes at night were unexpected. We have rented villas in Italy, Spain and France in the past, and Villa de la Plage is at the top of our list based on location, facilities and overall quality.

“Excellent apartment with stunning views.” Very well equipped, clean modern apartment with the most stunning views. Huge balcony with table and chairs and loungers where you can watch the beautiful sunrises and just chill out. Pool just below and pretty grounds. Lovely welcome from Shirley and Andrew and Andrew was kind enough to drive us to the supermarket and back to stock up on essentials. Supermarket is about 10 -15 minutes walk away. Shirley/Andrew will also get supplies in for you ready for your arrival if you let them know what you want. Welcome pack on arrival with fruit, bread and the all essential beer and wine! Could have done with 3 loungers on the balcony rather than 2 as there were 3 of us. Lots of places to eat - Capri in the town square is good and all very good value - food is mostly grilled/barbecued fish or meat. Train station just a few minutes walk away from where you can go to Tavira (nice town), Olhao (great fish and veg markets) and Santo Antonio on the border. Very relaxing stay and very quiet - went late September/early October - so go before it gets developed.

“Lovely relaxing time” We had a great stay at Veronica's villa and couldn't recommend it highly enough. The little touches of providing groceries on arrival which were not expected were gratefully received especially as we got there late due to flight delays. Lovely to explore the 'real' Portugal inland and further up the coast but if you are also after nightlife and nearby beaches then Veronica's villa provides an excellent base. The accommodation and facilities are excellent - we had a most enjoyable week. Thank you!!

“Amazing location!” My family and I have stayed in this villa several times; we love it so much. It's a perfect size, and tastefully decorated. The beautiful beach is only a few minutes walk away, along with the pool, bars, restaurants and kids club. The restaurants in the Praca can be a bit pricey, but still worth a visit for sardines or chicken piri piri. The local supermarket in almancil is excellent, and there is nothing better than having a BBQ on the roof terrace watching the sun set over the sea.

“Villa Eber is excellent” I arrived after a very early flight and was delighted to see the beautiful well cared for villa and meet the owner andrew. He was so helpful throughout our stay organising taxi's and helping with local knowledge and making us feel very welcome. My two children 5 and 7 loved the pool and we spent several days all day by the pool and totally relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. The other guests in the villa were polite and we were never disturbed by anyone else's noise. The apartment was spacious, clean, well equiped and totally family friendly. We loved our stay at villa Eber and would be delighted to go back in the future. Many thanks to andrew and anna for a wonderful holiday! x
