“Sandos Playacar is Amazing!” My family - me, my husband and two kids - just returned from an amazing week at the Sandos Playacar in Playa Del Carmen. We had such a fantastic time and LOVED Sandos. Everything was great - the food, the staff, the facilities, the entertainment and more! Sandos is a truly beautiful resort - the hacienda was spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The food at the al a carte restaurants was especially good, although we enjoyed the buffet breakfasts very much. The staff bent over backwards to help us with everything. The beach section was beautiful with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs, beds and hammocks to relax in. A short walk down the beach-2 minutes- brought us to a snorkeling area that was filled with tropical fish. The evening entertainment was top notch! All of our plans were booked through Georgette Flamm who provided detailed information and assistance every step of the way. She provided tons of info about the rooms and the resort, reserved transportation from the airport and gave us other valuable tips about our visit to Sandos. She responded to all of my questions immediately - I really was impressed how easy she made it! I would absolutely recommend Georgette Flamm and Sandos to anyone!!

“Much more than we expected!” Fabian and Dana are so accommodating and laid back... this jungle condo was a great, centrally located "nature retreat" for our action-packed family vacation. Lovely flora and fauna & unexpected jungle sounds... including monkeys and interesting tropical birds :) We chose the spot for its proximity to akumal beach, which was an easy drive, but not walkable with kids b/c of the distance and big highway to cross. Car was necessary. We loved using the beach chairs and boogie boards generously shared :) The condo itself was clean and simple with tasteful, modern furnishings, including on-demand hot water and aC with humidity control... pretty luxurious for their rates! Wish we had stayed longer to just hang out more on the patios, in the pool, etc. Only one minor complaint: pillows were too large for our old, cranky necks, but we fixed that by rolling up the comforter across the head of the bed. : ) Thank you for everything, Fabian and Dana!

“great location” the Office staff was courteous and welcomed me upon arrival, and showed me around. The room was clean and had a coffee maker and small refrigerator in addition to tv. Within a few steps of my door I was at the fresh water pool, a few more steps and I was on the most beautiful beach in the area! The hotel staff were attentive and friendly. The onsite restaurant was a great plus, allowing me to spend as much time on the beach or diving as I wanted, and not driving around finding restaurants. The food was fantastic! All in all, this was a great place to spend a week on the ocean, relaxing.

“Loved it all!” My family and I had a wonderful time on our vacation this summer, and the main reason is because of where we stayed! Everthing was fantastic! We truly enjoyed the house, the location, the yard with the pool, and the proximity to the beach. “Year # 6” I recently returned from the Riviera Maya and my 6th year stay at Villas DeRosa Resort. In my reasonably priced dive package they included: airport transfers, a comfortable and clean ocean front condo, and an abundance of good food, transportation to the dive sites and some great dive guides. “Just what we're looking for...” My Boyfriend and I were looking for a small intimate place to stay for my Birthday. And we found it at The Villas DeRosa! We stayed in a 1bd beach front condo over looking the amazing ocean below. The service was amazing! The staff is friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic! We love akumal and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Don't let the dirt road off the highway that leads to the resort fool you..it truly is a diamond in the rough. We're looking forward to our next visit.

“Great beach experience with all the conveniences.” Great location in akumal on the beach. Accommodations were spacious and prices excellent. They have a cook who will deliver meals to your own dinning room at very reasonable costs and the food is very good. The accommodations are not plush but very clean and all of the people who work there are muy simpatico.

“A Fabulous Vacation Home” Villa Iguana was a wonderful house. The caretakers, Claudia and Myner were the perfect host going well beyond the expected to make our stay unforgettable. Claudia is an amazing cook. Soliman Bay is the perfect place to stay especially if you enjoy snorkeling. You can just walk into the water and you are swimming with Loggerhead turtles and lots of fish. There were several kayaks to use and tie onto a buoy to snorkle on the plentiful reefs. Perfect!

“A Wonderful Family Christmas At the Casa Mae in Puerto Morelos” The Casa Mae provided all the amenities we required for our family of 9 which included the private pool, well equipped kitchen and lots of space for all. “Private Paradise” Our large family chose Casa La Via and loved it. The villa is outstanding and the owners have equipped it with everything you could possibly need. The personal touches were very much appreciated. It is a beautiful and spacious home and while the photos show you exactly what you get, they cannot fully depict how wonderful it is. The pool and patio/deck were our favorite place to spend time, although family dinners around the large dining table were pretty special too. We used the snorkeling equipment at the nearby lagoon for some private snorkeling (not like the hoards at Akumal) and were happy to have the bikes and golf cart for use in the community as well. We didn’t rent a vehicle, but taxis were easy to obtain so we could visit beaches or attractions that are close by. Also, lots of tours include transportation. Victor, the groundskeeper, kindly drove us to the main gate in the golf cart when required. The owners have created a binder of information on everything from using equipment in the villa to the best beaches, attractions and restaurants to visit. It is very comprehensive and a valuable tool to use during your stay. While we didn't deal directly with the owners, the rental agency was excellent to work with and answered all questions within a day and often the same day. . Wilma and Victor were so friendly and kept the villa and grounds immaculate. We had Wilma cook us a meal one evening and it was great. Loved the Lime soup! We have already recommended La Via to friends.

“Casa Mulder” We loved Puerto Morelos, found the staff @Abbey Del Sol very professional and attentive. We give the staff 5 stars. Casa Mulder could use some attention. Dishwasher never worked and was not repairable although the staff tried. Furniture was not especially comfortable and the kitchen did not have a skillet that was non stick. Beds were comfortable showers had issues such as no hot water until the staff addressed. Property is for sale and it appears to be in need of some upgrades. Overall we enjoyed our stay and found the village shopes, restaurants and people to be very friendly, a pleasure to visit. The reef is pristine and well worth taking one of the local guides for a visit. We used Wet Set and found them very friendly and helpful. Our favorite place to eat was John Greys Kitchen. We enjoyed several local restaurants, however John Greys was several cuts above the rest. We will return to Puerto Morelos and stay with Abbey Del Sol but probably use one of the other properties.
