“Absolutely amazing!” We had a truly relaxing and incredibly enjoyable stay at Strathisla. The room was lovely, the food fantastic, the views phenomenal, and our hosts (Priya and Jaykumar) delightful. We really enjoyed the walk that Jaykumar took us on through the tea plantation. Not only was the scenery magnificent but we also had a great time meeting locals along the way. It was a lovely way to get to see a different but very real side of Sri Lanka. Priya's food was heaven - the only problem was that no other food tasted as good. Many many thanks to our fantastic hosts. I'd definitely recommend this place to others.

“Just Incredible...” Couldn't be happier with this accommodation! To start off the villa was in a great location (about 10 minutes drive from the main town), which was not a problem at all and was actually nice to be away from such a busy environment. A driver from the villa can be organised for a small cost which was very convenient when we didn't want to get the public bus. It was so nice to be staying right on the beach - and when you didn't want to swim in the beach we had our own private pool. The villas were extremely spacious with big beautiful bathrooms and very comfortable beds. The staff accommodated a few extras we had staying but we were all still very comfortable. Udith the Villa manager was extremely friendly and helpful, catering to our every need. It was always very nice to wake up and have a morning chat with Udith as he was always smiling and in such great spirits. The rest of the staff were also amazing! Always so friendly and accommodating. Couldn't have asked for better people to be surrounded by. The in house chefs provide excellent food - our groups favourite being the chicken sandwiches. It is nice to be able to order whatever food you want at any time. We were supposed to stay only 5 nights, but extended because we didnt want to leave. Would definitely recommend these villa's. Great for a group of friends or a big family looking for a relaxing get away and a great time!

“What a find - Amazing villa” Having been to Sri Lanka many times we were just amazed when we arrived. Set in beautiful secure grounds with a tennis court and beautiful pool the villa was more than we could imagine. It is huge so for 4 adults and 2 kids ample room. Pushpa the cook provided us with amazing Sri Lankan cuisine and could not do enough for us. Mr T was lovely offering us advice on any given thing. We had our own vehicle but used the driver to direct us to local temples, elephant rides, food markets. The kids loved playing outside and stroking Nangi the dog. When they were exhausted they could relax watching satellite tv with kids shows in the upstairs lounge room. The photos here show you a fraction of the villa there is much more to it. “A truly awesome experience, and did I mention the VIEW..” Travelled to the Beach House, and arrived late at night. Woke in the morning to the most spectacular view, and sound of the ocean roaring. Took a few days to get used to the experience, (creepy crawly's) but by day 3, the family were loving it. To let my young boys play on the beach and next door at the Hotel with no hesitation, shows how safe and free we felt. Day trips in Tuk Tuks, were fun and so much to see nearby. Location of the Beach House in Hikkaduwa was very central, and food very very cheap. Having a Hotel next door that delivers breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, etc, made life easy for the wife..(Hotel also has free Wifi) The holiday, bonded the family, and left us with great memories. We hope to visit again one day soon..
