“Home from home” We had a lovely warm welcome and introductory tour around the house, which is comfortable and spacious. It really did have that "home from home" feel as Sara has ensured that the house is well equipped (e.g. an abundance of kitchen equipment, including day to day essentials such as salt, cooking oil etc. and thoughtful additions, such as clock radios in every bedroom). Everything was well maintained, of good quality and very clean. Whilst the overall setting was lovely and quiet, we experienced loud noise in the master bedroom each morning which was coming from the children in the owners house next door (this was the only negative we experienced and explains the loss of one star on the comfort rating of this review). We didn't want to mention this during the holiday, as it's important to remember that next door is the owners family home too, therefore a little noise is perhaps to be expected. The location is great as there's lots to do in the area, plus the guides provided in the house and the owners local knowledge provide lots of further inspiration if needed. We would thoroughly recommend Logie Country House and think it will be extra special when the pool etc. opens shortly.

“The Retreat” A fantastic place to stay. Idyllic surroundings with breathtaking views. Watched the deer feeding in the adjacent fields. The Retreat is very well equipped and furnished to a high standard It was snowing when we arrived and the open log fire had already been lit by the housekeeper. There was a very nice welcome pack and we immediately felt relaxed and 'at home.' We used the tennis court which was very good. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay again!!
