“Magical, calming paradise” Villa Santai is a taste of paradise nestled in the hills of Tenah Merah, Ubud. Its warm, friendly staff welcomes you into the Villa, immediately making you feel relaxed and at home. The food is delicious and cooked from local ingredients. The location is breathtaking. The moment you enter the Villa, you will be impressed by the amazing view of the jungle and valley through the first floor. It is impossible not to take a moment and look around at the beautiful view. There is an infinity pool overlooking the valley, and sometimes you can spot monkeys in the trees. It's a perfect place to relax and unwind away from the activity of the city of Ubud. It is close enough that you can take a ride into town in their car, and they can pick you up as well. It's easy to coordinate with them. They also have great ideas for walks or treks to the river or through the jungle. I love that it's a bit secluded, so you feel like you are really in a special place up in the hills. The nearby villages, rice fields and temples are beautiful too, and there really are not many tourists around, if any. The rooms are spacious, with incredibly large closets and a porch that wraps around the villa, where you can read a book or watch the sunrise. The sunset is equally as impressive, and casts beautiful colors of pink and coral in the sky, that reflect onto the infinity pool. It's incredibly magical, incredibly relaxing, and amazingly luxurious. The staff adds to the warmth. I can't wait to go again.

“Great Villa in Ubud” Enjoyed our xmas stay here at this Villa. The Villa's are setup well for relaxing in Ubud. Sitting in the pool and watching the scenery is great. Max and his staff are very accommodating and will help you book the attractions in the area. The villa is a about 20 minute drive to the Ubud township so being away from the crowds and in the rice fields is the appeal here. All of the attractions however will do pickups for free which is a good way to get into Ubud town. Cheers

“Even better than the photos - just beautiful” Stayed a week at Geoffrey's lovely villa with family including our 5 month old daughter. Such a great property, beautiful gardens and wonderful place to stay in a good neighbourhood. Just a 15-20 min walk to Ubud with plenty of great walks and dining options locally. The property is even more beautiful than the photos suggest. Very comfortable lodgings and lush gardens. The staff were very friendly and took great care of us and the property while we were there. All of us felt very fortunate to stay in this fantastic villa - highly recommended!

“Romantic and serene” We stayed at Villa Sujati for 2 nights in April with our 4 month old baby. It was wonderfully peaceful and serene after the bustle of Seminyak and I only wish we could have stayed on for longer. The walk down the path through the paddy fields was lovely and not too much trouble even with our baby in a carrier and the surrounding noise of crickets, roosters, dogs etc were all distant and pleasantly added to the atmosphere. Whilst the villa is a little remote from the town centre there were plenty of great cafes and warungs within walking distance so we weren't left wanting. The 'staff' (and the owner, Ketut, in particular) were lovely, friendly and trips into town, a cot and even babysitting was organised at a moments notice. Downsides: the sheer curtains throughout do mean there's little chance of sleeping in as the bedrooms become flooded with light at dawn, but with a little baby there was none of that for us anyway. And despite being surrounded by rice paddies on all sides (think stagnant water) there were surprisingly very few mosquitoes - but they were present and they bit my defenseless little one. There weren't many of them but we had to create a makeshift mosquito net over his cot using one of the curtains to protect him. All in all, I'd very happily stay here again.

“Great place!” We had a great time. We stayed for 1 week and had a relaxing break. The villa had a great deal of space. We liked sitting at the outside table overlooking the pool and garden for breakfast and lounging on the sofas for a movie. Comfortable beds and the sofas encouraged naps on lazy afternoons.The grounds were beautifully kept & we loved the range of flora. The staff were excellent. Yanni took great care of us.

“Wonderful experience” We had a wonderful week here, Detu (our butler) looked after every need for us, meals that we had here were superb. Travelling around Bali ourselves meant that location was not a problem. The villa had every thing we needed to enjoy our stay here and we hope to return here soon. “Does Paradise exist? I would say yes, definitely!!!” I've been all over the word,staying in beautiful hotels and resorts, but this one stands out! I've never experiment such a beauty. All the villas overlook the ocean in a manicured landscape. Every detail has been studied inside and outside those luxurious balinese jewels as well. I spent 6 days there, with no desire to leave the premices, wnating to enjoy every minute of my stay here. “Villa in the countryside opposite beach surrounded by local dwel” The villa was well equipped with a pool in a private small garden next door to fisherman s shacks surrounded by local people's chickens,ducks, cockerels and dogs. The path along the beach front is just a few feet away from the villa windows and people walk along there frequently so it didn't feel private in the house but you can close the curtains. Although it states there is satellite tv it only has Indonesian TV and no programmes in English which wasn't what we expected as when satellite tv is advertised it gives the impression of many channels. There are many Dvds but we're not really interested in films. The staff are very helpful and the night watchman sits outside for a time in the 'beach house' which is a covered area with table and chairs on the right of this photo outside the villa gate and is not joined onto the villa as the impression given by the photo. The villa itself is L shaped with 2 bedrooms in a separate part not joined together and accessible only from the garden.We were woken up every night by dogs and cockerels as they have access all around and on the beach. The villa is a good price for the size but about 8Kms from Lovina so not part of Lovina at all.The instructions we were given for the entrance by the beach weren't updated so we went along this extremely narrow path in front of the fishermen s shacks and then couldn't turn around as the layout had been changed so had to reverse back again to go to another way in, on a small road that led to another parking area on the other side of the villa. Most people we know would probably not stay here because of the noise from animals at night because it was like being in the middle of a farmyard! Unless that it what you want from a holiday. After all it is asia! We never swam in the sea as it was very rough and it wasn't the lovely beach location we were expecting.

“Stunning house with lovely view in a area surrounded with love” It was a great stay at Villa Patria. Even the first contact with the owner was filled with love, fulfilling all our wishes. The stay there was absolutely fabulous, 5 star meals, wonderful infinity pool with a stunning view. we felt home and every wish was fulfilled. The garden is beautiful, wonderful trees and flowers, we felt safe as well. The house is very nice furnitured, the rain shower with the feeling having a shower outside in nature is very nice and special. all in all: very special and absolutely wonderful.
