“Best vacation rental ever” Thank you so much for sharing this marvelous home with my family. We were in town for a wedding when I booked this place but got so much more. Four nights of quiet and secluded peace. The sounds we heard here were just sounds of nature! It made me sad to leave. This would be a PERFECT wedding venue. You never even hear the sound of traffic. Loved my stay here and I hope to return to stay again and to stay longer!

Wyndham Kingsgate Resort (3 bedroom 3 bath condo)

Williamsburg condo

3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 10

“Thanksgiving weekend with family!” We stayed @ the Wyndham Kingsgate resort in Williamsburg Va. Food, fun and family is all I can say! The accommodations were great. My grandchildren loved the indoor pool and video gaming arcade. The least attractive of the stay was having to climb three flights of stairs with luggage and groceries. That was a surprise! However the staff was just a phone call away. They were available to help with a smile! We had a great time!

“Ms.” My experience at Wyndham Patriots Place has been extremely, extremely positive. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Every need or request is attended to immediately. Starting from the minute we arrived at Reception, the staff new our name -- a very nice personal touch. We rented both the deluxe A and B units. This is a great deal of space and puts suite hotels to shame. We had 4 flat screen TV's, 2 living rooms (which can double as sleeping quarters using the sleeper sofa), a full dining room, a kitchen that was well equipped, a kitchenette, a balcony and 2 bathrooms, which together contained a tub and shower, a deep soak tub with shower and shower stall -- three people can shower at the same time. Excellent living space! Wyndham Patriots Place is also conveniently located to Colonial Williamsburg and roadways to Yorktown, Jamestown, Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. It is my first experience at a Wyndham Resort and I will definitely look into them on any trip in the future.

“Awesome family vacation spot” As a family of 8 traveling together (6 adults and 2 children) this place was great!. There was plenty of room for everyone without feeling cramped. We were across the street from the pool, and with 90+ degree days, it proved to be a great location. We were close enough to all the areas attractions. My only complaint is a lack of kitchen storage. We take most of our food for breakfasts & lunches and there isn't a whole lot of place to keep it.

Wyndham Kingsgate Williamsburg, VA - 1/1 BR Suite

Williamsburg apartment

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Pleasant” Kingsgate is an original Fairfield resort, not Wyndham. That means some of the luxuries you may be use to at a Wyndham are missing. However, do not let this fool you. For Williamsburg, this is an excellent place to stay. It is central to almost everything...Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, Colonial Williamsburg about 1 mile away, shopping is 5 minutes. The location cannot be beat. There is entertainment on property, indoor pool, outdoor pool, putt putt, tennis, playground, restaurant, and pool bar. If you are expecting extreme luxury, this is not it. It is not a Bonnet Creek. You have to go to Governor's Green for that and it is not even up to that level. This is our second stay at this resort and it is worth everything we pay to stay for 6 nights (less than $100 per night for the week). We will stay here again when we return for another visit.

About Williamsburg

The capital of the state of Virginia from 1699 to 1780, Williamsburg played an important role in early American politics and the Revolutionary War. Today, Williamsburg is the ultimate educational vacation destination. Often called a "living museum," Williamsburg's historic district is filled with the lovely brick and neo-classical architecture that characterized the colonial era in the United States. Architecture doesn't tell the whole story here, though. Throughout Williamsburg, actors in full period dress add to the experience by re-creating the life and times of the colonial settlers.

As you wander past centuries-old buildings, you'll see horse-drawn carriages and a band of marching men playing flutes in tri-corner hats. The fun can continue well into the evening in Colonial Williamsburg, where there are numerous restaurants that serve food from the colonial period, attended by gregarious wait staff dressed up in colonial attire. For a bit of spooky fun, attend an evening performance at the Haunted Dinner Theater or check out the family-friendly Mystery Dinner Playhouse, where Williamsburg legends come to life.

Williamsburg's most popular attractions are:

  • Colonial Williamsburg Foundation: Buy a ticket to visit dozens of carefully restored 17th and 18th century homes in downtown Williamsburg.
  • College of William and Mary: Stroll through the beautiful and historic campus of this top-rated public school, one of the very first universities in the country. Both James Monroe and Thomas Jefferson are alumni.
  • Water Country USA: If you need a break from the past, spend a day splashing around in the myriad pools at this wonderful water park.
  • Busch Gardens: This theme park outside Williamsburg is designed to take you on a tour of numerous European countries. Amusement park rides have names like Loch Ness Monster and Le Scott.
  • Presidents Park: At this unusual public park, sculptor David Adickes created the giant white busts of every American president from the times of George Washington to the present day.
  • Berkeley Plantation: Located on the banks of the James River, this plantation is one of the oldest in Virginia and the site of the first Thanksgiving dinner in the United States.

Williamsburg is a great place to visit with kids, and a spacious vacation rental can make it easier to bring along the whole family. A luxurious villa or cozy cabin rental in the wooded areas around Williamsburg can add a little peace and quiet to your vacation, while an apartment rental near the College of William and Mary will put you close to the city's student scene.

Clean and comfortable

Perfect for our family. Clean and comfortable with well appointed kitchen. Close to Williamsburg attractions and restaurants. Only drawback was hot water in main bathroom suite took over 30 minutes to heat up the first time. Maintenance said let it run. Better afterward (only 10-15 minutes to heat) but no way to have a quick shower!see more

Spectacular and magical estate

This is a very special historical place that has to be explored. Wonderful house! We arrived just before Hurricane Dorian was due to possibly affect the area. We're far enough away from the coast that we just had a day of rain. Cliff, the owner, dropped off multiple gallons of bottled water and emergency lights on Thursday, just in case. Fabulous place in an interesting area - Wakefield is about 20 miles away and is the peanut capital of the universe. Virginia Diner in Wakefield has been there since 1929, and has a buffet of southern comfort good starting with fried chicken that KFC will never equal.see more

Felt like Home

I traveled with my mother, aunts, and cousins so it was 12 of us in all for a weekend Williamsburg shopping trip. The condominiums were phenomenal and my family loved the set up. It was enough room to accommodate all of us. It had all the amenities you may need (pans, silverware, extra bedding, towels, wash clothes, broom, vacuum, glassware, dish washing liquid, and more. It made you feel like you were at home. The staff was friendly and pleasant. Definitely would recommend to family and friends planning a trip to Williamsburg.see more
