Description from owner

Description

Roserigg is stuated in the quiet village of Smithfield in N Cumbria close to the Borders and North Pennines and the Solway Estuary. It is roughly equidistant between market towns Longtown and Brampton and is only 6 miles from the flourishing city of Carlisle. We are the ideal location to explore the local area or for a short stay on business. The North lakes are only a 30minute drive from here. There is plenty to see from country walks along the Roman Wall, to retail therapy in Carlisle or Gretna Green. The area is steeped in history with many sites worth a visit and stories abound of the marauding 'Reivers' who lived either side of the Scottish border The location of this cottage is ideal to visit many of these places. The accommodation sleeps four in two double bedded rooms. With double glazing throughout and oil fired central heating as well as traditional Aga cooker, however the Aga is only used in winter months.

This is an ideal location for holiday or for business use and is only 20mins from Carlisle city centre.

The kitchen has all modern facilities including an electric cooker, washing machine, microwave and fridge freezer. Hot water is provided by the Aga and central heating boiler and although it is rarely needed there is an electric immersion heater. All electricity and fuel are included in the price.

There is a comfortable sitting / dining room with traditional Aga cooker as a focus and a large 42" TV.. Fibre broadband for high speed internet usage is installed..

The cottage has two roomy bedrooms each with double bed and plenty of storage. The Main bedroom has a 32'' Television with freeview. Bedding is supplied but not towels.

Although there is central heating in both bedrooms an electric blanket is available if required, although you should never be cold.

The modern bathroom has both bath and separate electric shower unit.

Private on site parking is available and the local pub is only a very short walk away if you feel a thirst coming on, they also do delicious bar food.

At weekends a nearby restaurant is also available, and this is only a short walk from Roserigg. The property has its own private gardens and the owners live just down the garden path so the best attention can be assured at all times. A warm welcome will await to show you in.. Key will be available between 3pm and 4pm please contact to arrange a suitable time if this is not convenient..We are sorry but we cant accept booking with pets.
