A stunning 3/4 bedroomed villa with pool located beside the quaint hamlet of Villeraze - in South Western France - 2km from the village of Caudies de Fenouilledes (services there include a boulangerie, bar/restaurant, butchers, pharmacy, etc) Set in a quiet, tranquil location in the foothills of the Pyrenees, on approx one acre of secluded gardens, the villa is ideally located for easy access to the many activities and amenities nearby. These include, water rafting, hot spas, horse riding,fishing, visits to local vineyards- and of course the Mediteranean.

.Only 45 mins to Perpignan, the historic capital of Catalonia- and just over one hour to Spain and the Salvador Dali museum at Figueres .Explore the mystical Rennes Le Chateau(Da Vinci Code) and the many Cathar castles in the surrounding countryside..

This modern villa (2002) has an open layout, bright with an abundance of space and light in the open plan living room / kitchen . The living room has TV, three armchairs, two coffe tables and a sofa. Wi-Fi is installed. The dining room has a glass dining table which easily seats six. The modern fitted kitchen comes equipped with cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer. The pool is situated in the south facing rear garden wiih uplifting birdsong and beautiful views of the surrounding forests and foothills.

“DELIGHTFUL HOUSE ,PERFECT LOCATION,WE''LL BE BACK”

We booked for September at the last minute,Luckily it was free ,A nice chap greeted us and was available in the area throughout our stay(very knowledgeable-spoke three languages)The gite is set in private gardens.It was perfect peace for both of us and our dog .We drove around the countryside on most days and had lunch at the marina in Canet on the Med one day.Other times we just lazed at the pool.--the weather was 24 to 26 each day.Just right, A friend recommended the Grand Duc restaurant in nearby Gincla and we certainly weren't dssapointed, Splendid classic French style with award winning cuisine and wine, This evening was the highlight of our stay.The other restaurants in he area are quite good also,Can't wait to return in 2017.
