Description
A tranquil country setting, ten minutes walk from the village of Champagne-Mouton offers you the escape you deserve.
The village provides all facilities, shops, a bar, a bank, and a post office as well as a doctors, a chemist and a garage.
The gîte itself is an independant converted stone farm building located in the field behind the main house. It has an open plan living area and separate shower-room with toilet. The kitchen is fully furnished and bed sheets for the double bed are provided.
You may wish to enjoy a glass of wine and a barbeque on the terrasse under the stars,listening to the crickets and nightingales or visit one of the local gastronomic restaurants.
You can swim in the Charente at Condac or visit the ruined castle at Saint Germain. For the more energetic, there is the velorail or canoeing in Confolens and several outdoor swimming pools in the local area. Further afield are the distilleries in Cognac, Futuroscope in Poitiers or the zoo at La Palmyre on the atlantic coast.
The gite is owned by a local french woman who is a language teacher. She can offer lessons in french, english or spanish.

“Lovely!”
This is a lovely little gite. It was neat and clean ( with a very comfy bed hence 10 hours sleep per night) and we enjoyed the view from the terrace across a little meadow. Nothing to hear but birdson… More
