“A nice place to stay”
We thoroughly enjoyed our late August stay at Kilmacoe house. The house has a lovely modern kitchen with dining area and comfortable sitting room. There are 4x standard double beds upstairs with a nice bathroom and separate shower room. The owner has put lots of energy into giving the house a homely feel with a rustic aesthetic and lots of interesting ornaments and decorations. With small kids we did have to temporarily relocate some of the delicate trinkets out of little reach for safety. There is plenty of space and a nice back garden overlooking the sand dunes and beach. All appliances worked well. We will definitely consider returning to Kilmacoe house for a Spring/Summer stay. Thank you to our hosts. There were four slight points to note for interested parties, 1) one of our days was colder but try as we could, we could not find central heating controls in the house and could only light a solid fire stove in the living room. 2) the info booklet provided stated that residents must take care of their waste as there is no domestic bin collection. We had not expected this inconvienence and had to bring to a waste centre 35 mins away. 3) the upstairs banister needs attention as a mid-point appears loose and wobbly. 4) the clothes dryer filter compartment appears full of sand for obvious use close to a beach. This needs a service to clean out.

“Perfect house”
What a lovely house in a perfect location great views and so close to everything it will have everything you will need and a very short drive to beach. Brilliant for children. We had a five year old Autistic boy who had such fun great space for him to run around the garden and play while we sat and looked at the amazing views Some great walks in Raven Wood a must to visit Must to do when you stay the beach where Saving Private Ryan was filmed. Wells House and Gardens a must for the kids has a fairy and Gruffalo walk with a good playground and some small animals for the children to see bring a picnic Johnstown Castle the walks around lakes beautiful peacocks all around kids will love the playground and you can finish off with a coffee of ice cream in the shop. Wexford town for some shopping is great.A great cafe on the way is Ohana not expensive large portions great prices A must visit is also the Surf Shack on the Curracloe Beach. Enjoy
