This tastefully decorated cottage loaded with light and views of the Aran Islands, Connemara Mountains, Galway bay and the wild Atlantic Ocean from every window . The cottage consists of 3 large bedroom ensuite a spacious sitting room, dining and kitchen area and sunroom.
A private tour of Ballinalacken Castle which dates back to the late 13th Century is offered.
FREE HIGH SPEED WIFI available also a welcome pack on arrival is provided.

The Cottage is set on the verge of " Green Walking Routs" which is suitable for hikers, walkers alike. Doolin Cave is only a short walk from the cottage which is the home of the it is the longest free-hanging stalactite in the Northern Hemisphere. Doolin village is only 3 miles from the cottage home of traditional Irish music, amazing restaurants, Ferries to the Aran Islands and under the Cliffs of Moher, Pubs, Pitch and Putt course, bike hire, Guided walks to the Cliffs of Moher. Also the village of Lisdoonvarna is only 3 miles in the opposite direction famous for its Sulphur Water, and Baths, also its famous for its "Match Making Festival" that starts the last weekend of August to the first weekend of October. It also has traditional bars and fine restaurants.

“House with a view.”
My family and I stayed at Gentian cottage for a week, there were seven of us in total, the cottage had more than enough room for us all. The bedrooms are all very spacious and each have their own bathroom with was great. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and more, it was very clean and tidy and tastefully decorated. it was lovely sitting in front of the fire on the cold nights. The scenery from the house is absolutely spectacular you can see the sea and the Burren which was just amazing. Ann the host was so lovely and very helpful, always there if you needed anything, and had a lovely welcome pack for us, including eggs homemade bread, tea, milk, butter all the essentials which was lovely to arrive to. She also showed us round the castle that is just down from the house, that was amazing to see. I would highly recommend this house to anyone.
