Description

Renovated period cottage with quiet, comfortable and cosy interior. Situated in Dublin docklands where giant working cranes dominate the marine landscape.

The cottage has been restored with expert architectural advice and executed by skilled Dublin craftsmen. It is furnished with original Victorian pieces.

It is close to the Great South Wall, one of the finest marine walks on the east coast, and Sandymount strand which features in Joyce's 'Ulysses'.

The cottage has an area of 900 square feet. There are two double bedrooms on the first floor. The ground floor has a combined living / dining area with open fire, original pitch pine floor and a beautiful Victorian glass fronted bookcase filled with Irish and international literature a discreet Bose sound system and a TV. The entrance hall and bathroom have mosaic tiled floors. There is a new kitchen in the property.

The Poolbeg Marina and Yacht Club is across the road from the cottage as is the river Liffey. There is private parking. At the rear of the house there is a new garden planted.

“Very cosy!”

Wir waren mit unseren Töchtern (10 und 15) 4 Tage in Dublin und haben den Komfort, die Ästhetik und Privatsphäre des coastguard Häuschens sehr genossen! Es ist sehr schön eingerichtet und bietet wirklich alles was man braucht um nach einem aufregenden Tag in der Stadt ein paar gemütliche Stunden zu verbringen. In die Stadt haben wir über FREENOW Taxis bestellt, zwischen 16 und 18€ pro Fahrt. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig und die Kräne des Hafens haben wir aufgrund der guten Fenster nicht gehört. Es gibt einen Self-check-in (Mail kommt am Vortag oder Anreisetag) und sehr gutes WLAN. Der Spaziergang zum Leuchtturm ist zu empfehlen.

Response from the owner This unfortunate drop in service was due to a clash of calendars. A booking came in some hours before this enquiry and the property was erroneously listed as available.
