Description

McEvoy Cottage - Nestled at the foot of the Cooley mountains on the coastal

waters of Dundalk Bay, Ireland.

What Greets You at McEvoy Holiday Cottage, Dundalk

Over 200 years old, McEvoy Farm cottage is a beautiful and traditional

cottage, which was once part of a small 15 acre farm. The property has

recently been extensively but gently refurbished, with care being taken to

ensure it has retained its unique charm and character, while offering all the

luxury and comfort one expects from a holiday rental cottage.

Situated in a quiet rural setting McEvoy Cottage is perfectly located to enjoy

all the local amenities, from beautiful beaches to cosy family run pubs and

restaurants. On top of that the cottage is just five minutes drive from the

busy town of Dundalk and the award winning Dundalk (racing) Stadium, 2

minutes drive from the renowned Ballymascanlon golf course, and only a 10

min drive from the beautiful medieval village of Carlingford.

Accommodation

This cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished and will comfortably sleep

8 people between 3 beautiful bedrooms and the sofa-bed in the living room.

All linen and towels are provided and price includes a full cleaning and

laundry service.

The two upstairs rooms have en-suite shower-rooms and offer stunning

views of the Cooley mountains and across Dundalk Estuary. The third

bedroom (smaller bedroom with double bed)-- on the ground floor -- has

access to the back garden through double patio doors. The main bathroom is

spacious and comfortable with a corner bath and separate shower unit.

The country style kitchen/dining room is at the heart of the house and is fully

equipped with electric hob, electric oven, dishwasher, television, microwave

and fridge freezer. It also has double patio doors leading out to the private

back garden. Complete with the impressive traditional open fire (including

fireside chairs), the living room is very cosy and, as was mentioned has a

couch/sofa bed, as well as a television and small coal cupboard.

Additional Features

McEvoy Cottage offers plentiful parking at the front of the cottage and the

back-garden has a large decked area with BBQ at extra cost garden furniture. Inside

there is also a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and the

house has oil fired central heating throughout.
