Description from owner

Description

The lodge is perfect for couples wanting a romantic getaway, friends looking for an escape to the country and families in need of some quality time together.

There are a wealth of activities to enjoy in the area - from horse-riding to sailing, golfing to fishing. The lodge is great for dog walkers, and hikers can explore the vast network of tracks and trails through forests and along shores and we are within easy reach of the Arrochar Alps.

ARE YOUR DATES ALREADY BOOKED? Check out Ruskin Lodge South, 9 Lamont Lodges instead.

Double-glazed throughout and recently refurbished to a high standard, this traditional log cabin is the perfect home-from-home. It is cosy, well-equipped, tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished. The veranda is gated and we have blackout curtains in the bedrooms. The twin bedroom has full-sized beds suitable for adults and children. Guests are provided with hotel-quality luxury towels and bed linen at no extra cost.

A new kitchen has been installed with an induction hob, steam oven, quiet dishwasher, extractor fan and under-cabinet lighting. The kitchen is well equipped with quality cookware and utensils. NEW Italian leather sofas are a lovely new feature of the living room - they are soft but sturdy and very, very comfortable!

The famous Puck's Glen walking trails begin behind the lodges and Benmore Botanical Gardens are a short walk away along a scenic track. The lodge is one of a small group that form the quiet, privately-owned Lamont Lodges which see many visitors returning year after year. You can relax on your own private covered veranda and take in the surrounding forests and mountains. We regularly see red squirrels, many types of birds and deer. We look forward to welcoming you to Ruskin Lodge.

Please note that £10 per night fair use electricity allowance is included in each booking. Usage above this is charged at cost price and is deducted from your damage deposit. Guests are given the meter key to check readings.

We are an ethical self-catering business. The lodges were purpose-built as holiday homes and were only granted planning permission on the grounds that they couldn't be used to live in year-round. This means we're not taking a home away from the local long-term rental or housing market - a big issue for communities in Argyll.
