Description
The Pigeonnier at Labarthe stands to the front left of the property (upon entry) and comprises a self contained 2 storey, stoned tower with a double bedroom. Quality Marks & Spencer's linen and fuffy towels are provided.
At the front of the property is a large lawned area, set with fruit trees. Guests staying in the Pigeonnier enjoy the privacy of their own pergola shaded terrace with patio furniture, BBQ and use of the garden and pool.
On the ground floor is a lounge, dining area and kitchen (fitted with gas cooker, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave). There is a log burning stove for those chilly evenings, Tv with freesat Channels and Blu-ray DVD for evening entertainment,English only. The double bedroom above is accessed via the staircase to the pigeon tower. The heated shower room, toilet and washing machine is located on the ground floor.
Cot, stairgate and highchair available. Tombebeouf 9 hole Golf course just 25 mins drive.

“Mrs”
The property was adequate but we thought very dated. The drainage from the shower was blocked, easy for it to be remedied but should have been checked before we arrived, again with the clothes airer. Crockery was very old and dated. In this day and age with fantastic properties out there I would certainly not book there again.

“Picturesque”
Choosing holiday accommodation can always be quite daunting. However, when viewing The Pigeonnier at Labarthe online, the pictures and reviews matched everything we were hoping for from a holiday in France. After reading great reviews and viewing images of the cottage we were excited to spend our holiday there. When arriving, myself and my family were blown away with how beautiful and scenic the The Pigeonnier at Labarthe was. Its surrounding buildings and countryside were breathtaking and we could not have asked for a better location. The pictures online do not capture how stunning and well kept the property is. To top off our arrival we were greeted by Jenette as our car approached which was a very welcoming and friendly greeting. Jenette toured us around the property and also gave us additional information on the main attractions and things to do in the area. Once inside the cottage Jenette had left fresh figs collected from the fig tress off her land along with a section of cheeses, snacks, wine and beer. These touches made the cottage a memorable and very welcoming experience. The accommodation was spotless and the amenities and facilities were great, with a large pool located next to the cottage which was an added bonus for a swim or to cool down. Good quality towels, bedding, teas and coffees were also provided. Jenette was on hand when you needed her, but for most of the holiday we were left in tranquility, feeling like we had our own space, yet had the assistance to hand if needed. The location of the cottage is within easy reach of many small villages, providing a chance to visit various daily markets where you can sample a taste of the local produce and purchase fresh food, which we did often. The Dordogne region is within a short drive which we visited a few times which also provides various activities and beautiful villages to explore. Overall the location provided the perfect balance of things to do, whither that be visiting the local night markets, canoeing down the Dordogne river or simply relaxing having breakfast at the cottage looking onto the beautiful scenery and stunning grounds. Our stay at The Pigeonnier at Labarthe was perfect and we could not have imagined a better place to stay for our time in France. The picturesque cottage and grounds, topped of with a fantastic attentive host who made us feel welcome made our stay in France an excellent holiday. We will return :)
