Private gite and exclusive use of swimming pool for the duration of your stay.

Located within the Golden Triangle, set in the grounds of a large 19th century country farm house, La Mailhourie pool house has been imaginatively transformed from the original outbuildings into a small , but well equipped and comfortable, pool side gite.

La Mailhourie Pool House is situated in the tiny hamlet of La Mailhourie, the perfect location for a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Set alongside a quiet rural road and opposite a winery, giving you a small glimpse of rural working France.

The house is comfortably furnished, with one double bedroom, an en-suite shower room with double sinks, separate wc, an open plan sitting room with a large sofa and 2 double futons, a table with 4 Thai cushions (great for playing games around), and a wood burning stove. The kitchen is small but well equipped. Perfect for two adults. We provide clean bedding, and both shower and pool side towels. Outside there is a table and 2 chairs on the terrace and a table under the Mulberry tree with benches to seat a number of people.

We have a great 10 x 5m private pool for guests to enjoy complete with pool side sun loungers.

There are plenty of things to do in the local area such as visiting the local caves (wineries) and sampling the Gaillac wines, or if action is more your thing then there are plenty of water activities, forest walking, horse riding, visiting local towns. The list is endless.

There are some great historical towns around the area such as the medieval town of Albi with its beautiful brick cathedral and is also where you will find the Toulouse Lautrec museum. In the local town of Castlenau are the ruins of a castle where you can watch the sun go down, enhance the moment and take a bottle of wine to drink (as we love to do). Slightly further afield is Saint Antonin Noble Val where you can take a kayak down the Averyon river, an amazing experience.
