Description

If you look for a peaceful location where the sounds of streams, of birdsong and wind in the trees are the only "noise", our cosy Lodge in the hills of Donegal is waiting for you!

We are located about 10mins drive from Fintown connected to Glenties via a mountain road (20mins drive).

You find 2 bedrooms, one with a 4 poster bed and a bunk bed, the upstairs one is the "Honeymoon Suite" with a Futon King size. Additionally we offer an extra high bed in the living room.

The center of the Lodge is the kitchen/common room with a wood burning stove. Here you find all the facilities needed for self catering. Also there is a wrap around sun-room to enjoy this extra little space close to nature.

You can additionally book the "Wonderly Wagon", an authentic bow top Gypsy Caravan, which sleeps 2 adults and 2 children. Prize per night: 40 EUR when you book the Lodge.

We want you to feel cosy in a place surrounded by nature!

Getting around

It is advisable to have a car. But if you don't we will pick you up from the Fintown village. You can get daily bus connections from Fintown to Letterkenny (except on a Sunday) and a daily connection from Fintown to Glencolmcille via Glenties. The bus company is "Mc Geehans Coaches" (they are connected with Bus Eireann)

Interaction with guest

We will always welcome you with a warm Irish welcome and with freshly homemade bread and tea (or coffee). We love having guests and like to get to know them. We often invite our guest to a house music session (we play Irish music and love a good sing along) We can recommend you walks, places to see, where to go for a good session, and help you along if you have any questions or requests. If you like to walk and explore we provide you with maps and routes and a compass.

“Tranquility”

Our second visit, only because we couldn't get booked in before. If you want great hosts, beautiful scenery, peace and quite at a really reasonable price look no further. A truly relaxing break again, we could not have been happier and will be back to this little peace of heaven. Glenties is easily accessible and has some good places to eat. The North Atlantic coast is very close by so you can explore as much as you like or just hide away from civilization and recharge your batteries. Could not think of anywhere better, as I told my friends, lack of phone signal, sporadic Internet, no TV, seen no one, was heaven.
