Sunshine-seekers are in for a real treat! Scenic walking trails are just a block-and-a-half away at the Clam Bayou Nature Park, sand and surf is just a mile from home, and a palm tree-lined outdoor oasis is yours to enjoy in absolute privacy. Gather for meals or margaritas at the shaded table, or settle into the hammock and let the sound of the fountain spilling over into the pond lull you to sleep.

Sun-dappled and freshly painted in ocean hues, the living spaces at Harbor Mist make you feel like you brought the beach home with you. There’s no stuffiness in the main living area—two cozy sofas in floral and palm tree patterns invite you to flop down and cool off in the A/C. Choose a flick on the flat-screen, grab a novel from the shelf, or fill your wine glass and settle in for chats in this chilled out space.
Mornings are a special time at Harbor Mist—it’s when our guests come together to fill their bellies and plot the day’s adventures. Spread out your maps and guidebooks on the pass-through bar and pore through them with a warm cup of coffee in hand. Or flip pancakes and sizzle eggs in the kitchen. With tons of prep space and white cabinetry with under-counter lighting, this space is well-loved by our guests. Dig in together in a cheerful dining area with leather chairs and accent lighting.
Airy and sweet, the two bedrooms (one queen-size, the other full) are restful retreats furnished with coastal accents and simple, soft linens. Unpack with ease into wall-mounted cabinets and private closets, and rinse off the sand in a tiled bathroom with shower and tub combination.
The true show-stopper at Harbor Mist is the backyard. Lush, grassy, and oh-so-private, it’s like having your own palm-studded oasis just outside your door. Response from the owner I am dismayed by this inaccurate review of Harbor Mist. While we do not have many reviews for this home on this site, we do elsewhere and we have been renting this home for 11 years, with repeat guests. Recent comments this year include "so relaxing so clean", "house and yard were as represented", "the neighborhood was great", "stayed here many times in the past" and "I would recommend to a small family or couple". These are not the comments of disappointed guests. Given how we worked with this reviewer to change her initial stay dates (at her request and at no charge) and that we did refund her cleaning fees and insurance, her review is even more inappropriate. Her email to me was that "it is not as we expected". While I cannot know what she "expected", I can say that the photos are all current and accurately represent the home.
