A very enjoyable weekend

The cottage was very well equipped and in a great location to enjoy the delights of Pickering. Penthouse suite fantastic. The owner rang us direct to give us information on key collection etc and we advised to ring them if there were are problems. Word of warning for those taking a dog the courtyard at the back is not enclosed and dogs can wander off.

Excellent situation for the central moors

Good situation but you need a car with good clearance for the track. Walk straight from the house so just park the car up. Good pub at end of lane with plenty of good choice within a few miles.
Comfortable home, clean and tidy. Heating works well in winter plus a coal fire.
The coast is 40 minutes away - best of both worlds.

This cottage has been refurbished to high standards and was well appointed in an ideal location with patio doors opening to a small sitting area. Excellent base

Lovely and clean with everything you need to have as a base. Quiet location. Easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit, eg Whitby by steam train from Pickering, local museum in Pickering is worth a day's visit, local farmers' show was excellent. Base allowed us to relax on return from day out, plenty to do - well Yorkshire is God's own county!

Great stay in Hollyside Cottage

Excellently presented cottage, the best holiday let we have ever stayed in. Very comfortable, beautifully furnished. Lovely fire, bathroom, kitchen and bedrooms. Couldn't ask for more. Great location in Hutton Le Hole, one of the prettiest villages in Yorkshire. Great walks, great pubs. Pub in village 50 yards, serves good food. Lots of places to visit. Couldn't ask for more !

The accommodation was quiet and peaceful. The owner was friendly and helpful. The scenery was breathtaking. There was a huge choice of things to do and places to see. If walking is your interest then it is a wonderful place but just as good for a relaxing break, plenty of shops,and museums etc.

Fantastic winter break

Well-resourced and comfortably fitted, warm and cosy, versatile accommodation in this delightful cottage. Kirby Moorside provided for all our needs - shops, pubs, delicatessan, and lots of nearby walks and places to visit. Kitchen is particularly well-fitted out. Really liked the quirky layout. This is a part of Yorkshire that I'd never visited before and I was pleasantly surprised.
