Description
The Barn is attached and part of a now non working farm called Higher Boden, which comprimises a Grade II listed farmhouse and outbuildings which have been converted into other dwellings , there are 4 properties in total on the farmsite . The Barn is quite secluded and has its own drive and parking .There is a large garden and 2 acre paddock which belongs exclusively to The Barn, a cart shed which can accomodate outside BBQ if weather is less good and a very large stable block with plenty of space for the kids and a full size table tennis table . It is located on the Lizard Penisula 2 miles from the Helford River and sea, it is an ideal place for those who want to get away from it all but with the option of plenty of activities at hand .
The Old stone Barn has been sensitively converted to accomodate up to 10 people, it is full of rustic character and charm . There are plenty of beautiful walks both costal and inland with beaches very close at hand .
Internet access is provided
It is so relaxing and safe for the chlldren with loads of things to do ranging from just running wild at The Barn to a host of activities and things to do in the region

“If you are looking for a great place for family and friends to enjoy Cornwall without the crowds look no further”
We have just spent a very relaxing time over the New Year with our good friends who made the way to Higher Boden all the way from Hexham (best part of 500 miles each way). Our group had 4 adults and 4 teenagers (and one dog), which the barn accommodated very comfortably. Thanks to the Aga, central heating and open fires the barn stayed snug, despite the wet weather. The kitchen comfortably accompanied our culinary efforts with the large table easily coping with our group. Having two sitting rooms was also very handy as the TV watchers were able to settle in to watch the films on offer over the New Year without disturbing the others. The barn was well used (table tennis) and the walks around the area were lovely. I also need to mention the amazing pub food at the nearby Prince of Wales (check out trip advisor). We fully intend to come down again - thanks, your barn is a welcome haven from our normal busy lives!!!
