Description
Villa Marmelada is surrounded by beautiful olive trees in a garden with fruits, herbs and colorful bougainvillea.
You could start the day with a good coffee on the sunny terrace or in the shade of an olive tree in the garden after sleeping comfortably on the Dunlopillo mattresses (german quality). In the garden you can harvest fruits and spices of the season to prepare your meals in the brand-new modern kitchen which is very well equipped. You can as well order on-site dining or do a barbecue in the garden.
In the neighbourhoods you will see olive groves and individual houses and villas with their gardens.
A few minutes drive away you can play tennis, ride a horse, experience scuba diving or snorkeling as well do wonderful hiking tours in the vicinity. Bicycles are available to use for free. It takes a few minutes to get to the beautiful beaches of the south and to the vivid city of Ierapetra.
Directions
From the airport in Heraklion please take the motorway E90 direction Agios Nikolaos, then follow the signs to Ierapetra. When arriving in Ierapetra turn right at the 1. traffic light (into Street: Emmanouil Despotaki Papadaki), after 400 meters follow direction MAKRILIA, you will turn right at the junction to MAKRILIA from the ring road, follow the road (Ierapetra - Makrilia) for 1400 meters and you will see the property on the left side. Turn left into the small land road and you will see the entrance to Villa Marmelada to your left.
It is a 90 minutes drive from the airport of Heraklion and 18 km from Agios Nikolaos. Free WiFI is offered and free private parking is available on site.
