Description

Fabulous turf-roofed guest accommodation set in an beautiful secluded spot high on the Oa peninsula on the Hebridean island of Islay, Scotland. The architect designed lodge is clad in local stone and has been carefully built by island and Argyll craftsmen. With its turf roof the building appears to flow out of the landscape in perfect harmony with its very special surroundings. The light and spacious interiors are in Scottish eco-chic style with bespoke touches sitting in harmony with iconic mid century furniture. Soft furnishings are in our own tweed designed for us by the iconic Islay Woollen Mill - suppliers of tweed to many films including Braveheart.

The lodge sleeps 2-4 in two ensuite bedrooms each with a double ended bath and walk in shower. You can enjoy unpolluted night skies and amazing sunsets from your own two person out door Star Tub - fill with hot fresh spring water for a chemical free alternative tubbing experience. The lodge also has a sauna, wood burning stove and heated Caithness slab floors. Ultra comfortably Hypnos beds made up with fair trade organic bedlinen and platinum wool duvets add to the luxury experience. Spa treatments, chilled ready meals and an in-house chef service are available.

Coillabus is a superb honeymoon destination and is also a stylish base for a romantic getaway or an island holiday with family or friends. Sandy beaches - you'll often have them all to yourselves- a championship golfcourse, iconic whisky distilleries and the airport and ferrry terminal are all within a ten minute drive away.

Frazer and Ishbel’s seafood platters are great favourites with our guests - so glad that worked out for you. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. I’m sorry we had to move you to the other lodge at short notice as we had an issue with the heating. We did try to let you know ahead and on checking see we do only have a mobile number on record for you. I wonder if you might have had call forwarding set up and perhaps our messages were forwarded to your landline as you drove in and out of signal through Argyll. There is a car charger at the ferry terminal in Port Ellen and we are currently unable to offer that service (and don’t include the considerable cost of charging cars in our tariff.) I will certainly look in to options for suppliers.

How do damage deposits work?
