Description
Beautifully presented and well equipped, Flower Pot Cottage is a period property in a quiet scenic location, situated just off the main street in the village of Dunkineely.
The property consists of kitchen/ diner, sitting room, utility, 2 double bedrooms and 1 single, a bathroom with electric shower, cot. All linen, towels including beach towels included, hair dyer, DVD, CD and and video players. Also childrens toys and games. To the rear of the property there is a small garden with patio and BBQ. The property benefits from oil fired central heating.
Dunkineely has a coastal setting on the road between Donegal and Killybegs and is on the Wild Atlantic Way and the gateway to Sleibh League. A great touring base for the south west . St Johns Point beach and deep sea diving is just 7 miles away and Ireland largest fishing port Killybegs is a 6 mile drive. Historic Donegal town 11 miles.
Dunkineely has a mini market, butcher, fishing tackle shop, florist, cafe, hair and beauty salon. Three pubs one hosting traditional Irish music.
In the nearby village of Bruckless there is a service station and Post Office and a pub with excellent bar food..

“A delightful family getaway in Dunkineely”
A very memorable experience during our stay in the Flower Pot Cottage. Every room you enter is transfigured into a different and unique style, such as the pink kitchen with its beautiful bay windows that brightens the whole room. A cosy living room that we took advantage of having movie nights, the back garden filled with plants and flowers, three comfortable bedrooms to sleep in after a whole day of sightseeing not to mention the neighbour sheeps that you can see in front of the house. We even had our shih tzu during our stay. There is a Mace just around the corner which is very convenient. Its location is perfect to visit different places from Donegal town which is a short distance by car as well as St. Johns Point Beach and Lighthouse, to a 16 minute drive to Fintra beach or a 30 minute drive to Slieve League. Anita is a very welcoming owner and we are grateful that we found and were able to stay in her Lovely Flower Pot Cottage.

Its not normally a problem for most as many old cottages do not have the luxury of a dish washer.For future reference it would be a good idea to read what facilities the property and the area have to offer. “Lovely house”
The house was cosy and warm, beautifully decorated. It was equipped with everything you could need. It is located in a good place for exploring the area. Lovely to arrive to fresh scones and jam, wine and beers!
