Description from owner

Description

Ardmun sits within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park overlooking Holy Lock with views down to the Firth Clyde and over the hills.

The house is one of the 6 houses of similar character known as the Tea Caddies built by David Napier in circa 1850 with an original stone staircase leading to four bedrooms with the Master bedroom having king size bed with a further double bedroom and two single bedrooms and sofa bed on the ground floor. There is a main bathroom and shower room.

The house has electric central heating plus has two wood burners .

Downstairs has two reception rooms, kitchen and conservatory.

The conservatory has a large dining table with seating for 8-10 people

and a wicker suite overlooking the panoramic views.

The conservatory is position at the front of the house south facing.

Ardmun is a beautiful home with all the comforts in a fabulous location for a self-catering holiday. I deal for walkers, fresh and salt water fishing and city site seeing. Glasgow airport and trains have good connections to ferry crossings making easy access to travel links.

“Lovely Short Stay - great location”

Reviewed 23 Oct 2017

Had a lovely time in this splendid house over the two days we had it. Superb sea views over the Holy Loch and I can imagine over the brighter months the sky and sunsets must be lovely. The weather during our stay was somewhat challenging but it didn't stop us getting out to Dunoon, Ben More Gardens and Inveraray (inc the castle)! The kids (and older kids had a ball)..... Really well equipped and the kitchen was great for the cooking on the two nights. Beds were comfy and the big bath great for the kids after muddy splashing up at the botanics! Wifi handy and so was the TV when the kids shows came on..... All in all a lovely stay in a lovely part of the world. Good value and recommended.
