110 SQ meter (= 1,200 sq. feet for the metric impaired) of great living.

Casa Sonrisa has one bed room and is right beside the swimming pool in a

beautiful tropical setting with flowers, giant cacti and palm trees. The perfect

setup for a couple for an unforgettable, romantic and relaxing vacation.

The spacious living room has very comfortable, typical Mexican furniture, TV and a stereo with CD player.

At the king-size bed is an excellent, firm but not hard orthopedic mattress with a close cell and memory foam layer.

The big kitchen is fully stuffed and has also a side board on wheels to roll where ever it is convenient.

The bungalow is in a lovely big tropical setting with plenty of plants and trees, even Nim trees to fend off mosquitoes.

The location is in a small, very quiet Gringo / Mexican community with no bars, only one restaurant and no traffic.

Most noise comes from the many birds and the mild breeze rustling in the palm trees.

La Paz has a desert micro climate with warm, but dry days and cool nights, even at summertime. It us only found at the wider La Paz basin.

in about 3 Km driving or 15+ minutes walking along the beach are several nice restaurants and grocery stores. It is 11 Miles to downtown on a 4-lane or 6.5 Miles to Walmart, which is MUCH different than the ones up north.

There is sooo much to know about everything and we love to tell you all you want and have to know.

Getting around

Since La Paz is NOT a tourist trap, the according infrastructure is missing. It is recommended to have a car to go around since public transportation is very cheap, but very time-consuming. We also can give you a bicycle to go around.

Interaction with guest

We love to sit together with you, telling you where to go and what to see, giving tips for some gorgeous drives and beaches, adventures to the islands and where to go fishing. It will be a pleasure to tell you all about places not to be found in any guide book or on the internet. We also help you with the shopping if your Spanish is not so perfect, telling you what to buy and especially what not and much more. What ever you need, we are just at the next house and available 24 / 7. In case of a medical problem, I'm an M.D. and can help you at any time. Also, keep in mind, that you are absolutely safe here. We have no crime and even in town can a woman walk at night through the darkest streets and nothing will happened to her.

House rules

We love pets, but you have to pick up after their business.
Also, have a great cigar or smoke your cigarette with your drink, but ONLY OUTSIDE the house please.
Our setup is not for children, but of course bring your infant along and if your kids are well behaved, they are welcome too.
The swimming pool has a shallow area for children or adults sitting in the water and sipping a Margarita. HA
