“Exceeded my expectations!” What a beautiful vacation rental. We enjoyed everything about Paraiso del Mar, from the ease of booking with Chelle, to the luxurious condo, to the amazing beach, ocean view, lovely pool. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Alissia was very helpful in arranging fishing excursions, the chef cooked us delcious meals with the fish we caught! La paz has many very good restaurants and shopping. We are definitely planning to vacation here again!

Best location in La Paz! Casa de la Vaquita

“A Great Stay At Casa Vaquita!” A Review of Casa Vaquita My good friend Keith, an actor and musician, and I, a construction contractor, decided, since we are both scuba divers, to do a low cost trip to La Paz in Baja California, Mexico. So, Keith and I, finding a window of opportunity earlier this month of July 2014, decided to stay, at the recommendation of local friends, with Kevin and Christine, Ex-pats from our own area in Los Angeles. They were, as expected, delighted to see us and did all they could to make our stay at the newly renovated Casa Vaquita enjoyable. Keith made himself at home in the upstairs room of the little casita on the property, enjoying a view of the bay from the balcony, while I chose to stay in a room attached to the main house, where I needn't climb any stairs. The rooms are all beautifully decorated with local art, and authentic touches are apparent. Going from the stressful and often rude world of Los Angeles to a vastly more polite society added greatly to the enjoyment of our vacation! The courtyard of Casa Vaquita has a barbecue grill and smoker, so I foresee some raucous parties there in the very near future. It's in a perfect spot, close to the boat docks, for Scuba clubs looking for an inexpensive warm-water destination. The four of us were able to get away on their boat several times for scuba diving and snorkeling. We visited the wreck of the Salvatierra, huge ferry boat, and the island chain, Ispiritu Santos. 85 degree water temperature is easy to take! Great visibility and lots of critters to admire and photograph. We also had the opportunity to visit several great local restaurants for many of our meals. All were very reasonably priced. Imagine: full breakfasts including coffee and juice for less than $4.00! On one of the days that Kevin had to attend to the needs of a friend, we visited Todos Santos, a little town of artisans and quint bars and restaurants on the Pacific side. On our last day, Christine made a wonderful fresh clam sauce and pasta for all of us so we'd remember to come back! Al Kholos

“Awsome” My wife and friends went down to La Paz to relax and have a good time. Well staying staying at this penthouse helped with both. The rooms were spaces, each couple (3) had their own bathrooms and we had enough room to relax and enjoy each other's company. The jacuzzi outside on the balcony was a great place to sit and enjoy the beach. I would recommend this place to anyone. To top it all of the owners we really easy to work with.

“Perfect Spot for a Family Getaway” The casita has a perfect location just outside of La Paz overlooking the bay. The kids loved the massive yard and taking walks through the neighborhood. Craig was super helpful and responsive in providing information about the area and helping us set up internet before our arrival. We would highly recommend the Casita to anyone wanting to explore the wonderful city of La Paz while still having a quiet, peaceful, and beautiful place to return to each night.

“Jewel of a Condo for Two” When I was searching online for the perfect place in La Paz I luckily stumbled across Brians condo. From our first e-mail conversation he took such personal care of us, helping coordinate the time and place to meet up with son sailing in from Southern Mexico. The condo was a minute walk from the marina---absolutely perfect for us! This delightful place was just right for the 2 of us, yet allowed us to entertain a few friends as well. Nicley appointed, we cooked in some, and also enjoyed the great restaurants within a 15 minute walk. Comfy bed too. Nice having a washer/dryer for our use too---we could pack so much less. All around an excellent experience that I highly recommend.

3 bedroom house in LaPaz, Costa Baja Resort

La Paz hotel apartment

“A great place in CostaBaja resort” We had a fantastic stay at Patrick's place. Setting up the reservation was smooth and we used his property managers for airport transportation which worked out great. They dropped us for a stop at the grocery on the way to the unit though if you are planning to stock up or want more american items I'd recommend you ask for WalMart or the large grocery in town as we stopped at a small Mexican market where it was tough to find some items like suntan lotion etc. I'd been to CostaBaja before and it's a fantastic resort. The beach club is great as are all the restaurants at the Marina. Our favorite was azul Marino which had a great owner and staff and where they prepared the fish we caught nightly and had an amazing tuna tartare. Patrick's unit is very nicely furnished and had everything we needed. It has a view out towards the marina and golf course with a bit of the bay so not a direct sunset view if you're looking for that. however, we've never found ourselves inside any unit at sunset after multiple visits here because the views from either the pool or beach club are fantastic and the evening is a great time to be out. Downtown is a ~10min shuttle or cab ride. We had our panga pick us up at the Marina for fishing which was very convenient. Great stay and highly recommended.

About La Paz

The charming city of La Paz is an unforgettable Baja California vacation destination. The wide range of beaches, outdoor attractions and one of the best waterfronts in the entire country provide all the necessary ingredients for a relaxing getaway in the sun. Some of the best nightspots and restaurants in La Paz can be found along the Marina Costa Baja, while your best bet for picturesque views and souvenir shops is the waterfront.

While you are in La Paz, be sure to save time for these other sites and activities as well:

  • Museo de Antropologia: Learn more about the culture and heritage of La Paz at this popular museum.
  • Catedral de Nuestra Senora de la Paz: Built almost 150 years ago, the old gothic architecture of this popular church is certainly worth a visit.
  • Malecon Plaza: Musical acts can be found performing on most weekends near the two-story white gazebo at this popular downtown square.
  • Biblioteca de Las Californias: With a focus on the history of Baja California, the library has an impressive collection of historical documents and also houses a children's cultural center.
  • Go surfing: There are plenty of places along the waterfront to take lessons from local surfing pros or rent boards for the day.
  • Go to the Beach: Some of the most popular beaches in the city include Playa Caimancito and Playa el Tecolote.

A vacation rental is the preferred option for those staying in La Paz. Book a luxury condo with waterfront views or a spacious villa with high-end amenities and all the comforts of home. If you are planning a romantic getaway, rent a cozy apartment for two just steps from all that downtown has to offer.

The beautiful weather throughout the year in La Paz means that there is an abundance of outdoor events and festivals to enjoy whenever you decide to visit. Watch world-class volleyball players compete at the Corona Open Volleyball Tournament in August, sample some of the best rock music in Mexico at the four-day Baja Prog Festival in March, or watch the elaborate parades and costumes throughout the streets of La Paz during the February celebration of Carnaval, the Mexican version of Mardi Gras.

Although you can have a great vacation just by staying in La Paz, there are other quaint towns and larger cities within a short drive. If you have some extra time, visit the unique towns of El Zacatal and San Pedro, just a 45 minute drive away, or head approximately 50 miles north to the sprawling beaches of Cabo San Lucas.

Good Condo in the nice place

A well-equipped apartment but for a long stay I would add a washing machine and dryer. Although the prices in the laundry are quite low. Located in a complex of the hotel, four restaurants, a beach club, a yacht port and its own beach and a dive club … see more
I GOOD LOCATION AND PRICE, NICE, CLEAN AND COMFORT
A real nice and safe place

I believe Gabriela greeted us. She was very helpful to help us find the house. It was very clean and bright and had everything we needed. I will certainly recommend this rental, as I will add it to my website for future renters. The gated area FOT the cars was excellent. And close to the Malecon and business area. Thanks Gabriela!!see more
Best location in La Paz! Casa de la Vaquita
Best accommodations and even better hosts!

My wife and I stayed here for five weeks in March/April 2015. First thing we noticed was how clean and well furnished it is, including a well equipped kitchen with all new appliances. Second thing, you cannot beat the attention and treatment we got from the owners Kevin and Christine, hostus mostus. Everything from being the most hospitable folks you can imagine to the hottest tips on dining and events in the area. They even invited us to join them on their panga for an evening picnic and sunset tour of the bay, and for a small fee took us snorkeling (equipment provided) with the sea lions. The location is perfect for walking to most anywhere in town as well as evening strolls on the "malecon," the street fronting the bay. The place is quite secure and reasonably quiet in spite of being in a busy neighborhood, the surrounding activity actually contributes to the feeling of well being, especially at night when you might have concerns about being out and about........no problem! We have been vacationing in La Paz for twenty years and this is the best bang for the buck, it fuses historic Mexican architecture cohesively and beautifully with modern conveniences. We'll be back! Luxurious Beachfront Condo at Paraiso del Mar
Excellent condo in a quiet resort

We visited La Paz over Spring Break to do some fishng and relaxing. We stayed in Unit E304 , a 3 bedroom, 4 bath condo with excellent pool and water views. Paraiso Del Mar is a very nice resort comprised of 5 different buildings, buildings A-E, each housing privately owned condos. The resort sits alone on a peninsula known as the El Mogote and requires a water taxi to transport you to and from the main strip of La Paz, known as the Malecon. The water taxi runs back and forth all day based on a published schedule and you can catch one every 30 minutes which we found to be very convenient and an excellent way to meet some of the friendly Ex-Pats staying/living there who were all willing to share information about local restaurants and things to do. The proprty is expansive and you will need to rent a golf cart or use their transport vans to take you to and from the water taxi and the condo buildings. We found the transport vans to be very prompt and responsive when needed and the drivers were great. A cell phone is even provided to call the transport vans when needed which is a nice touch. It is a very quiet resort on nearly 900 acres which was appealing to us as we did not have to deal with noisy neighbors. There is a very nice pool and spa and a pool side, outdoor restaurant with excellent food. They open around 1pm and serve lunch and dinner. When we arrived, one of the bedroom A/C units did not work which made for one hot night but it was fixed promptly the next day which was much appreciated. I travel often and some times there can be issues with your accomodations which is completely understandable. The way they promptly responded to the A/C issue was telling in how focused Chelle and her Property Managers are on customer service so kudos to them! We would definately stay here again!see more
Beachfront Condo at Paraiso del Mar - Best View!!
LaPaz getaway

This was our 2nd time at Paraiso del Mar and we are planning another trip already and bringing along two more couples. The condos are spacious and you have everything you need. I prefer the condos on the 2nd/3rd level I like the balacony :). We hired a private captian and got to see the shark whales and swim with them. It was the most amazaing thing I've done. I wish I had a water camera. It was quite and very laid back which is what all of us needed.see more
BEACHFRONT, PRIVATE POOL, GOLF with Concierge, Daily Maid and Chef-Meal Services
Idyllic setting

The property is well appointed. The rooms are large and comfortable, and everything well maintained. The location is as close to paradise as you can get. You step out of a beautiful pool on to a sandy beach. Ocean is usually calm and beautiful. Back to the pool, it has a swim up bar that is just perfect to conjure up any libations. I highly recommend it. But skip the catering. The person who took care of our food was extremely rude and everything over priced. Do yourself a favor and do a little exploring around town. You'll pay less than half for food and skip the nastiness.see more
