The perfect walking holiday

Left on Dec 03, 2009 for a stay in August 2009

We had a wonderful week in this cottage. It was clean and comfortable and had everything that we could possibly need.
The location was perfect for us, the common is only a few minutes walk away, the Malvern's made for a lovely walk out from the cottage, as did Eastnor Castle. We found an excuse to stroll out in the evening to the very handy local pub, which also does food.
There was also the …

There were plentiful supplies of glasses for pre-dinner drinks, and masses of china and crockery . We could all sit around a large table on comfortable …

A great base for visiting the Malvern Hills

Left on May 17, 2013 for a stay in August 2012

I stayed in the Duck House last year for two nights. The room had only just been refurbished to a high standard and it was very cosy and inviting. The owners, Paula and Lawrence live in the main house and they made me feel very welcome. They have a lovely garden which I spent a long while exploring, and chickens freely wandered around....which I loved.

I am a keen walker, and from the Duck …

Comfortable, quiet, as described. Ideal for restful stay

Left on Feb 26, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

This is a nice location. Suitable for two people, ideal for a solo traveler. The large studio-style bedroom/Living room is lovely and the bed very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are both a good size and well appointed. My only criticism would be the TV. As a solo traveler, it is a key point for me and I found it a bit too small.

I would also suggest that this is a good choice for …

    Peaceful retreat for wildlife lovers

Left on Jul 29, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

If you need a place to slip away from the hustle and bustle, this is it. But be prepared for visitors of the feathered and furred variety! I spent a quiet time here hosted by a couple who have transformed a former industrial revolution site (a former pumphouse) near Ledbury into a delightful retreat in a Herefordshire woodland setting. The attention to detail, provisions and comfort of the one …
