Description
Tyddyn-y-Felin is a period farmhouse dating back to 1592 and was the home of a local bard who was the present owner's Grandfather. Four generations of the family have lived here. The home has a lot of history and used to have a water wheel, hence the name Felin meaning mill. Situated in a wealth of unspoilt beauty in a quiet position in the hills above Harlech, 2 miles, with its sandy beaches, 18 hole Royal St. David's Golf Club and castle. The house is reached via a 300 meter farm road off a country lane and cycle path which leads to the Roman Steps and another valley with its waterfalls and magnificent scenery for walking. Situated in the Snowdonia National Park and within easy reach of Portmeirion, Porthmadog, Barmouth and several tourist attractions. The owners live in a small annexe at the side and there is a pond for fishing (50 yards) and several lakes in the area. Shop and pub 2 miles. Private garden.
This property is ideal for walkers, cyclists, photographers, artists, canoeists, fishing, wildlife enthusiasts, bird lovers, climbers and mountaineers and coastal activities. It is available for familes of 7 , couples and groups of (6) and bring your dog if you wish.
Star Gazers will be amazed at the bright night sky, no smog here!

Electricity is extra by meter reading on arrival/departure and to be paid in cash on morning of departure which is 10a.m. prompt.

Response from the owner I'm really sorry that you felt this way but I did offer milk & tea bags if you wished but you refused. All milk & tea bags are not to everybody's taste! The shower was slow due to very dry hot weather as we are on our own system, not usually a problem. Not sure how dog hairs got into bedding but must have been overlooked. No other complaints before or after about mattresses but will take note. Thank you
