Description
Beautiful villa in a stunning position with uninterrupted panoramic views of the coastline,south facing sunshine from dawn to dusk very private not overlooked yet 5 mins from the village center.
Set in a 3 acre plot on a gentle hill side with very pleasant natural vegetation over the green hill side including Olive trees, carib trees,pepper bushes,medronia trees and only the sound of the birdsong to listen too. The villa and the surrounding gardens are well maintained and kept in good condition.
The villa has a lovely large heatable swimming pool with terraces around for sunbathing, relaxing and alfresco dining.There is even a good size lawn for playing ball games to the side of the villa.
In-door/out-door table tennis for aspiring Olympians is available .
There are lovely hillside walks.
Our neighbour has a tennis court if you wish to use it for 10 euros per hour,She is a qualified tennis coach and offers tennis lessons.
She can also baby sit if you wish.

“Superb quiet location with outstanding views.”
We spent two weeks in this very well appointed villa in a quiet location on high ground with outstanding views over Faro to the sea a little over a mile from the centre of Santa Barbara de Nexe where we enjoyed several excellent meals at La Piazza as well as other restaurants all within a short drive and we kept fit by climbing the many steps from the pool and local walks and relaxing on the upper terrace watching the planes taking off and landing at Faro Airport. Unfortunately one of our party had a fall which curtailed some of our proposed activities. The location arrow on the website is far from the position of the villa and could be very misleading to someone not familiar with the area.

We don't know why the location arrow was in the wrong place,but we have managed to get that corrected now. There are 8 steps to the pool from the main terrace so not too challenging. “Lovely spacious villa with splendid views.”
The villa has ample sleeping accommodation for 6 people and each bedroom has it's own bath/shower room. Views all round are splendid and, although no noise can be heard, it's fascinating to watch the planes landing and taking off at Faro airport! The garden is immaculate and I loved the whiff of rosemary planted all around the front and side of the house. I would add that the location on the website map is way out! it's shown in the town centre but I is, in fact, 1.4km from the town down an unnamed. unmade-up road and there is no name or number at the villa entrance. However, with your map, we did find it! I stayed for the first week of my friends' holiday there. One of them is an elderly lady and the other is infirm so unable to negotiate the steps to the pool. Railings would have worked (as with the stairs from the upper floor) though they may have not worked aesthetically.

Response from the owner It is a pity we did not know the steps would be a problem,as the villa is on a hill the steps are part of the landscape.We did not know there were elderly and infirm guests in the party.As there are two en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor at least they are convenient for elderly guests. Being on a hill gives us the splendid panoramic coastal views so you can see the coast about 10 km away and the sea beyond which is where the airport landing approach takes place in the distance whilst in total silence! Not sure why the map location is in the village center we will have it corrected.The villa description does say it is about 1 km from the village. We are on a private roadway to three villas so there is no name to the road . This is the reason why the villa is so peaceful and not overlooked.

“Beautiful villa”
Set in a secluded location away from other properties, so all you can hear is birdsong, but still only a five minute drive into the local town. It has an immaculately kept spacious, mature garden and a large well heated pool. Fantastic views from the villa, roof terrace and shaded seating area. Inside is airy and large for a three bed villa, spotlessly clean with a modern kitchen, comfortable beds, walk in shower and fast reliable Wifi. Highly recommend this place - we regularly rent villas in the Algarve and Med, and this is one of the best we’ve been to.
