Description
The Garden Studio is situated on two and half acres of landscaped tropical gardens with the back boundry a spring fed creek backed by 60 acres of rainforest.
Open plan, spacious, quiet, private and comfortable, furnished with solid timber furniture. Amenities include a king bed and fold out double sofa bed if needed, kitchenette, TV, DVD, stereo, WIFI, the bathroom has a claw foot bath tub and shower, and there is a washing machine.
Our organic vegetable garden, orchard and free range chickens provide fresh seasonal produce. There is a kitchenette in the cabin, otherwise we love to cook and would be happy to provide meals on request. Complimentary tea, coffee, muffins and fruit are provided.
The property is an hour and a half from Cairns International Airport, an hour from Cairns southern coast and beaches, 15 minutes to beautiful tropical lakes and waterfalls set amongst World Heritage Wet Tropics rain forest, and 45 minutes from the outback and hot springs. The small tropical dairy town of Malanda is 5 minutes away with small but well appointed supermarket, bottle shop, banks, post office and specialty stores.
A great location to spend a night as you explore the Cairns Hinterland and Atherton Tablelands, an easy drive to Cairns and surrounds, or a wonderful place to base yourself for a week or more to explore the region. Jaggan is 750m above sea level so is cool most nights (18'C) natural airconditioning!, with few, if any, bugs or mosquitoes.
