Description
L'Occitanie is situated in the delightful village of Malves-en-Minervois which is about fifteen minutes from the medieval city of Carcassone. The village is surrounded by vineyards with views of the Pyrenees to the West and the Montagne Noire to the East. The village has a chateau, bar, restaurant and a bustling village shop selling fresh bread and wonderful croissants.
The house is surrounded by a high hedge giving it seclusion and privacy, the swimming pool faces south and is surrounded by mature plants. It is an idyllic place for holiday, either lazing round the pool or being more venturous and visiting the many places which are all within an easy car ride.The house is comfortably furnished, all bedrooms have good quality beds and all the linen is provided for your comfort. The kitchen is well equipped with all mod-cons. . There is one en-suite bedroom, downstairs there is a family bathroom with separate toilet.The french windows in the kitchen open on to a terrace with table and chairs. The lounge is spacious with settees and chairs, there is tv satellite, cd, dvd bookcase full of books and boardgames. The garden room has a large dining room table with a door leading out to the back garden and table and chairs and bbq. You should nt need it in the summer months, but all rooms have a heater. Within fifteen minutes of the house you can be in the mountain range of the Mountagne Noir, The Chateau de Lastour which are the ruins of the four so-called Cathar Castles. Discover La Grotte de Limousis, take a stroll or perhaps hire a boat on the Canal du Midi. If you want the beach Lac de la Cavayere is nearby or take a trip to Narbonne plage which is just over the hour away on the mediterranean coast.
The history of Carcassonne is retold in the novel "Labyrinth" by Kate Moss the film was shown on Channel 4. Take time to visit the town of Carcassonne where there are three markets each week. The saturday market is particularly lively during the summer surrounded by cafes and restaurants. With all this and the local restaurants and the Minervois wine the holiday is complete.

The lounge is very comfortable appoximately 25 feet long with double doors leading on to the terrace and double doors at the rear leading into the ;Garden Room. The Garden room has a large dining room table, built in bbq and door leading into the back garden.The kitchen is modern there are french windows leading straight from the kitchen onto the terrace where there are tables and chairs There are four bedrooms. Three with double beds. One bedroom is ensuite, the front double bedroom has views to the Pyrenees and the double bedroom downstairs has a kingsize bed. There is also a fourth bedroom with twin beds and a new family bathroom and toilet. There is a very large garage with the utility room at the rear..

The house is surrounded with a large garden and is private with mature trees. The swimming pool faces south and is all one depth approximately 1.6 meters. We have a security gate into the enclosed area of the pool for your safety and around the pool you will find comfortable sunloungers.
There are table and chairs to the front of the house which has direct access from the kitchen area. There are a further set of table and chairs and pation with bbq at the rear.

“Liked the place so much we've been twice!!!!!”
This is a great property for a couple of families to share and use as a base to explore a beautiful part of France. A good size swimming pool is a big bonus and is well maintained as is the whole property. Most things that you would need for a self catering holiday are provided. Booking was easy and on arrival there was someone to meet you and talk through all you need to know.
