"Great Location, Great Porches, Beautifully Decorated Unit to spe"

Our family enjoyed our stay at No Wake Zone. The unit is perfectly situation to view the ocean even though it is not an Ocean Front unit. We enjoyed all the well situated decks and porches and don't forget the hot tub. The outside shower was very nice in keeping the sand outside and not in the beautifully decorated unit. My only suggestions would be that the linen that are supplied be better quality. The towels were terrible and we actually had to go and purchase towels. The sheets on the King bed did not fit properly and I spent the week pulling the corners down to keep them from coming off the bed. The upper floor air conditioning needs to be set on low prior to arrival and early everyday to keep the upstairs comfortable in the summer heat. So the unit is perfect but Outer Banks Blue management could have done a better job by : having the unit cleaner before arrival, repairing the french door exciting into the screened porch prior to arrival or at least during the stay, lowering the refrigerator and air conditioner prior to arrival, fixing the lower baths faucet prior to arrival or during the stay. Overall we had a wonderful time and hope to visit the No Wake Zone again next year. Thank you to the owners for sharing a beautiful beach home. The McIntyre Family from Baltimore Maryland.

Our experience at No Wake Zone was nothing short of great. The furnishings are very comfortable, the house is well stocked with everything you might need. The beach supplies are wonderful! No need to bring chairs, wagons all those things that are very messy to haul home after a week at the beach. The new walk way to the beach was so helpful. It was really a great week.

My husband, parents and aunt had a wonderful stay at the Outer Banks at the No Wake Zone. My parents really liked that we were so close to the Ocean and could see it from the living room and other rooms as well. There were a few things that needed fixed, e.g., the screen door outside on the deck and the sliding door in the bedroom didn't lock, but other than that the house was very nice.

Overall, we had a good experience. Due to Hurricane Irene we could not get into the house until Tuesday, we did not have access to the beach chairs, grill, outside furniture during entire week, we were told the house was ready, and when we got there the house was boarded up and not cleaned. Once we stayed in the house and knew that we wanted to return, it is fully booked for the following year, wish we could have had first refusal. I do understand that our stay would have most likely been perfect if Irene did not come visit first, but really wish we had been updated on our house during this time a little better. We were also without cable and internet the entire week and called daily and were told they would fix it, and they never did. Not until we were checking out did someone address the outdoor furniture, beach equipment, under the house flooding, etc...Thank goodness for travel insurance.

The house is perfectly situated in South Nags Head. It is close enough to enjoy all of the Nags Head amenities but far enough away to enjoy tranquility. Being right on the beach is always a treat but this beach is especially nice - life guard station right there and lots of beach space.
The house...what a tremendous job the owner did on the renovation. We stayed in the house before the renovation so we really could appreciate the changes. We plan to make this our annual Memorial week vacation spot.

This was our first time renting a beach house and the experience was wonderful! Everything was handled online but when we did call the rental office everyone was very helpful. The house was very bright and cheery and provided everything we needed. Would definitely use Outer Banks Blue again!

Check in was great, beds were comfortable. Some minor issues - moldy shower curtain, lack of dressers in lower bed rooms, lack of clothes hangers. Ok we dealt with that and notified the real estate office. We were told they would take care of these things but we never saw anyone.
Location was very good and we enjoyed the week in spite of these issues.

We really enjoyed the house, the view, the keyless entry and the location. The house was clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with numerous appliances and kitchenware. The keyless entry was very convienant for all guests. The master bedroom had a great bed. However, all other bedrooms had very poor mattresses and the guests were uncomfortable. Overall, I would recommend this house and this real estate company. Your ease to rent electronically and great communication make it a simple transaction. In addition, your little special touches mean alot (toilet paper, beach bag & koozie cups :) Great job Outer Banks Blue!

Attractively appointed within with all necessary supplies. Clear and concise directives from owners about operations of equipment. The location was excellent in relation to the beach and water. A bit of a drive back up to Nags Head, etc, but nothing for which one cannot make allowances. In terms of comfort of the house and services provided, the pricing was quite good.

The service received from Outer Banks Blue was outstanding. My calls and questions were all answered by a friendly person. Being able to drive directly to the property without waiting in line at a rental office was a such a nice bonus after a hitting traffic all along the route that extended our drive by two hours. The keyless entry was great. After arriving at Ruddock's Retreat, we found the house to be nicely decorated, clean, comfortable and a perfect fit. The kitchen had everything we needed and we still use the items from the Welcome Bag. The listing indicated ocean views and I was not sure what to expect as the house is listed as oceanside. We enjoyed having coffee and watching the ocean each mroning. We also took advantage of the hot tub. I consider this house a great find. I would also recommend Outer Banks Blue to anyone interested in renting at the outerbanks.
