Description from manager

Description

Dairy Cottage is a traditional stone cottage that has been lovingly converted from use as a dairy in bygone days to an attractive, well-equipped holiday home from home.

The cottage is one of four guest cottages located in a pretty, well-stocked courtyard garden on our farm, which is located in a picturesque corner of County Wexford, in South East Ireland. Each cottage is unique and private, retaining many traditional characteristics, while at the same time having all of the modern conveniences of home.

A climber-clad archway from the main garden leads into Dairy Cottage's private south-facing patio garden from where the traditional-style half-door opens into the open-plan kitchen/dining area and comfortably furnished lounge.

The modern kitchen is very well-equipped with electric hob & oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, coffee-maker etc. and there is ample crockery, utensils, pots and pans.

The adjacent dining area has seating for four and has garden views.

The lounge has a couch and two easy chairs, well-stocked bookcases and a flat screen TV with Irish, UK and international channels, a DVD and CD player and a wood-burning stove. There is free Wi Fi.

Stairs lead from the living area to the bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs.

The Twin Bedroom has two single beds, built-in wardrobe and lovely views of the garden and countryside.

The en-suite Master Bedroom has a 5 ft. bed, built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers and this bedroom also has delightful views of the garden and the patchwork of fields, trees and glimpses of the River Barrow.

The Master Bedroom's new en-suite bathroom has a large shower enclosure, wash-hand basin with vanity unit and toilet.

The new family bathroom is located between the two bedrooms and it also has a large shower enclosure, wash-hand basin with vanity unit, and a toilet.

Guests fall in love with Dairy Cottage and the view of the garden framed by the half door. The sheltered private garden faces south, with a patio area with a table, chairs, parasol and its own BBQ.

Roger & Patricia live in the main farmhouse and are on hand if you need any help or information.
