Super Spacious Grade ll listed detached barn conversion, full of character set in beautiful Cornish countryside,.

There is plenty of room for 11 guests of any age (and their four legged friends!), with three reception rooms, a very sunny conservatory, two patios - one for the morning sun and one for the afternoon! - plenty of patio furniture, large BBQ etc

There is a pool table and a table football game for the kids, a huge well equipped kitchen diner for the cooks and a large front room with a real fire for party people.

The 8 beautiful beaches of Newquay and the dunes at Holywell Bay and Perranporth are within a 10 minute drive, and

just 30 minutes away you will find Padstow, with its quaint working harbour and narrow cobbled streets, which is home to Rick Stein's restaurants and speciality stores. The Camel Trail starts here and bike hire is available. The Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, St Ives, Port Isaac (home to TV's 'Doc Martin'), and the county capital, Truro, are all within easy reach.

The local shop and pub are just 2 miles away.

4 bedrooms: 3 double, one with en-suite shower room and toilet, one with en-suite bathroom with shower attachment over a bath and toilet, 1 twin room. Family bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, power shower, bidet and toilet.

Getting around

Trescowthick Barn is just 3.5 miles from Newquay but set in a very rural location. There is no public transport to the property. If you need to use taxis I can recommend a local firm that knows the barn's location and have a variety of vehicle sizes.

Interaction with guest

I live nearby and aim to welcome each guest at some point. You can check in without me being present so arriving late is never a problem. You can always contact me by phone or text, and I will endeavour to help as much as I can, however if you don't want to see me you won't!

This property is suitable for parties and get togethers, there is plenty of room for everyone, the only restriction is that I ask that the maximum number of guests who sleep at the property is 11. Please contact me prior to your stay if you wish to discuss occupancy.

“Mixed blessings”

Beautiful rural location, spacious property with pleasant garden. The house was clean. Excellent fridge/freezer and plenty of seating. Owner tried to be helpful mostly, but gave us wrong key code for access, no welcome pack for tea or coffee on arrival and gave coal instead of charcoal for the bbq. The furnishings, bed linen. beds, dishwasher and one cooker are tired and need updating. Access to one shower impossible for anyone over size 16! Another shower leaks. Also insufficient cutlery and no large dinner plates The house needs a coffee machine and gas bbq to reach the 5* acting we were promised, plus updating as above. Links between letting agent and owner vague, with conflicting information. When was this property last inspected?

Response from the owner Hi Thank you for your frank review, I can only apologise for the smell caused by the heating oil lraj, as explained a pipe had perished and oil permeated the plaster on the walls, I could not replace the plaster board walls whilst guests were residing at the barn but rest assured that as soon as I have a few empty nights this problem will be addressed and resolved. Regarding the 'small niggles ' these will be addressed as well. I hope you enjoyed your stay at Trescowthick Barn and I look forward to welcoming you back. Jane
