Description
La petite maison is a comfortable, renovated, detached house, suitable for two to four persons looking for a peaceful holiday. It is situated in the hamlet of Puymezier near the little town of Nontron in the Périgord Vert (Dordogne, France) and is surrounded by fields and forests. On your doorstep is an ideal area for hikers, bikers and other diverse activities.
Every weekend there will be a vide grenier (bric-a-brac market) somewhere in the neighborhood.
Nontron (3 miles away) has a range of supermarkets, a weekly market, tourist office, historic centre, pubs and restaurants, plus a number of brocantes, galleries and museums. Historic cities as Perigueux, Limoges and Angoulême within an hour driving.
There are nearby activities for all tastes including canoeing, horseriding, two lakes to swim (guarded) in with playgrounds, eating à la Périgordienne in an old watermill or visiting a chateau or prehistoric cave. The little town of Brantôme is well-known as the 'Venice of the Périgord'.

We are working already on your mentioned weak points of the house. Some we can't do much about. For example the cabling on the floor: there are three iron bars holding the walls together, just above the floor. But we can always try to make them more visible.
