“Beautiful cottage, perfect holiday location”

Reviewed 12 Sep 2022

Tigh na Boirach is an absolutely gorgeous little cottage in a fantastic location. The cottage has been finished beautifully and to a very high standard and has everything you need to make your stay warm and comfortable. The location is ideal for exploring North and South Uist as well as Berneray and the other surrounding islands. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing week at Tigh na Boirach and got to see otters, (swim with) seals and dolphins, deer and so, so much birdlife! As well as being treated to a show my the northern lights!

A Charming cosy Blackhouse, beautifully restored. Modern kitchen & Bathroom spotlessly clean with everything you require for a pleasant stay. Central to ferry terminal, co-op store and of course the stunning Clachan Sands Beach. A short drive up to Berneray and your walking along the most beautiful West Beach (our favourite). A 2 hour drive takes you down through the Causeways to Eriskay, passing through Benbecula and South Uist. Charlie’s Beach on Eriskay ( Whiskey Galore) a must… If the weather changes a visit to the Lochmaddy Hotel for food and drinks is highly recommended!!! If your looking to discover these islands and have a wee adventure… Tigh-na-Boireach has everything!!! Thank you to the Owner Ian for allowing us to check in early and check out late…
