Description

SHORT BREAKS AND LONGER ALL YEAR ROUND. Escape for a few nights to recharge your batteries. Only a 2.5hr scenic drive from Glasgow, once you have arrived you may never want to leave!

Rental prices vary throughout the year. Quotes on TripAdvisor are "from" prices and don't always reflect the true rental prices. Please make an enquiry to check the rental price for your selected dates.

BUILT TO THE HIGHEST STANDARD, with a wood burning stove and solid oak shutters, this immaculate cottage is warm, cosy, comfortable and is perfect for short breaks or longer at any time of the year. SLEEPS 2... The perfect place for a proposal, a honeymoon, rekindling the fire or simply a weekend away without the children!

DOWNSTAIRS is one open-plan oak-floored space: a snug sitting-area with a wood burner, a dining area and a well equipped kitchen. Also a downstairs WC and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and plenty of space for wellington boots and hanging coats. In the winter, the wood burner and underfloor heating keep the cottage lovely and warm; in the summer, French doors open out onto a sheltered sun-trap of a garden with a terraced patio, flower pots, BBQ area, garden furniture and that wonderful hard to beat vista across rolling green fields sloping down towards Loch Melfort and beyond.

UPSTAIRS is small but very cosy. Large king size bed with beautiful bedding and a sumptuous mattress, hand crafted by Hypnos "the most comfortable beds in the world". A bookshelf full of holiday reads and inspiration for great days out and stunning views of the loch from the window...all you need is to persuade the other half to bring you breakfast in bed! Across the landing is the LUXURY BATHROOM with deep cast iron ROLL TOP BATH, walk in shower, underfloor heating, basin and loo with a view! Fluffy bath robes, towels and Scottish toiletries all provided.

LOCATION: Whilst Crosple Cottage lies within easy reach of the village of Kilmelford (2 miles) the final 400m is via a farm track which passes through open countryside. There will be times when gates need to be opened and closed when there is farm stock in the area so please be aware that whilst not remote, the cottage is isolated and as such is perfect for those who wish solitude.

Response from the owner This is an exceptional review, thank you! Sounds almost too good to be true... but we know it is true thanks partly to the fine weather you had, but mainly thanks to our amazing cleaner who does an outstanding job each week. This is helped also by kind guests such as yourselves who leave the house so clean and tidy when they leave. All much appreciated and we look forward to welcoming you both back again soon.
