Description

A delightful country cottage set in a serene woodland setting, within a private 70 acre estate, with fabulous walks & wildlife on the doorstep. "Woodmans Cottage" is set in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, with magnificent views of the Cader Idris mountain range from shared gardens within the estate.

There are ample walking opportunities amongst scenic forestry in the local area and along the nearby stunning Cambrian coastline. Of particular note is the easy walking access to the glorious Mawddach estuary which features the renowned Mawddach Trail loved by walkers & cyclists alike.

The cottage is well equipped, stylish and comfortable, with all you need for a fabulous memorable stay, and caters for up to 4 guests in 1 luxury double bedroom and 1 lovely twin bedroom both with garden views, along with a family bathroom including both bath and shower.

Woodmans Cottage has a spacious traditional lounge complete with dining table & chairs, along with a light and airy kitchen which leads out on to the shared courtyard, a lovely flower filled suntrap allowing for outdoor relaxation and great Al Fresco dining.

Guests also have access to large and varied shared walled gardens en route to the river leading to the estuary trail.

The nearby pretty market town of Dolgellau, is well served with a range of shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. The cottage has private parking for 2 cars.

Woodmans Cottage is an end terrace cottage on the Abergwynant Hall estate. The estate is served by a private water supply from a borehole on the estate, providing exclusive Welsh water on tap.

Woodmans Cottage has a spiral staircase which is not easily manageable for the elderly or the infirm, and not suitable for toddlers without supervision.

“Perfect place to stay”

The cottage is in the middle of some woods in the perfect location to access the mountains and beaches (by car), and is set in a lovely setting. The cottage is very well equipped and Rob seems to have really thought of everything, its clear he really cares about his guests and wants them to enjoy their stay. The cottage is clean and tidy, with everything we needed for a very enjoyable weeks holiday. Rob is always about to give advice since he is very knowledgeable about the area, but at the same time he has the balance just right since he also keeps a low profile and allows one space to enjoy the facilities and setting. We would certainly look to return some time due to the lovely location and perfect cottage for people who enjoy beaches and the outdoors.
