Many places in Cornwall are known for their waterside charm, and no property better encapsulates that than Driftwood. Perched in an enviable quayside location, this two-bedroom apartment has been recently refurbished to provide a cosy and luxurious place to stay for up to four people.
Park your car in the private, off road space provided, and make your way up to this to first floor apartment. Upon opening the front door you’ll be greeted by a spacious hallway with a gleaming wooden floor and charming driftwood furniture (hardly surprising, given the name!)
On one side of the property you will find the living and dining area: a light airy space with wooden floors, oak furniture, and a contemporary coastal theme. Relax and unwind on the comfortable sofas after a hard day exploring, catch up on your favourite shows or enjoy a film with the flat-screen television and DVD player. A Bose sound link dock lets you play your favourite tunes, and the free guest Wi-Fi allows you to update your social media accounts with tales and images of this fantastic accommodation.
Located next to a window overlooking the quay, the dining table is perfectly positioned for you to enjoy a romantic meal or a family dinner against the stunning backdrop of the water. The balcony, complete with chairs and a table, makes a perfect breakfasting spot, or the ideal place to retreat to with a glass of wine in the evenings.
The kitchen is perfectly equipped with stylish units, fresh tiles, and all the appliances you could need to prepare your favourite family meals and make Driftwood truly feel like a home from home. You’ll find a double oven with a gas hob, a large fridge and freezer, a washing machine and tumble dryer, a dishwasher, microwave, and even a Nespresso coffeemaker.
The master bedroom features a King-size bed and a soft, contemporary design with neutral carpets and walls and a stylish seaside themed feature wall. There’s a large chest of drawers so that you can pack all your things away, which always helps you feel more at home! This bedroom benefits from a well-equipped ensuite, complete with shower, WC, hand basin, and heated towel rail.
The second bedroom features a king-size bed which can be split into twin singles, making Driftwood perfect for couples or families and features a coastal theme, with nautical bedsheets, cushions and wallpaper. Twin wardrobes, a chest of drawers and bedside tables give you plenty of storage.
Both bedrooms feature DAB radios so you can drift off whilst listening to your favourite station, or relax in bed with music in the mornings.
Taking a bath in the family bathroom is an absolute must so that you can soak away your tensions and luxuriate in the freshly refurbished room. There is a shower over the bath, WC, hand basin, and a heated towel rail for your comfort. The beautiful, locally designed, driftwood mirror continues the coastal theme.
The stunning quayside location means that there will always be something out of the window to occupy your attention. If you want a change from taking in the quayside view, trying to spot birds and fish, you’ll find the town of Penryn has galleries, pubs, cafes and takeaways just a few minutes’ walk away. A quick drive up the road takes you to Falmouth, a bustling port with a wide range of independent shops, restaurants, and attractions to keep you entertained. You can catch the train or a ferry to Truro, and from there the rest of Cornwall is within easy reach.
