An Authentic, 4 bedroom French farmhouse with heated swimming pool & Sauna nestled in it's own 10 acres of Dordogne countryside. Set within beautiful French countryside this 4 bedroom farm house with heated pool contains all the character features to be expected. This includes original stone fireplace with woodburner, beams, terracotta tiles and a 4 poster bed, but also contains all modern appliances such as dish washer, washing machine coffee maker, Wi Fi onsite for those that like to keep in touch with the world. With many outdoor activities on your doorstep such as kayaking, cycling, swimming and walking there is plenty to do for all the family. We also have a Zip Wire ride on site for the kids. With tracks and paths leading straight from the property it is a perfect place to come for keen cyclists and walkers. There are many local markets in the area, the main one being Riberac of which is the largest in the Perigourd. Here you can taste the delights of the local food and wine and enjoy a coffee in the many French cafe's as you while away the day. Or you can relax by the pool surrounded by fields of sun flowers while enjoying a locally sourced wine. All pool furniture is provided for the comfort of all our guests. There are also local leisure beaches, rivers and golf courses all within a short drive. The local village of Grand Brassac is only 2.5km away where you will find a café / shop where you can order your bread for each day. There is a lovely walk through the woods into the village or it is a 5-10 bike ride. We also provide bicyles for all members of the family if you are not able to bring your own. The English owners live on site with their 3 horses and 2 dogs and are there to help with any questions you may have and to help you have the best possible holiday.

“An opportunity to be totally cut off in fairytale country”
Very nice accomondation in a beautiful rural landscape. Perfect for socializing and slowing down. Not all generations like being cut off from telephones and internet though...one should be aware of difficulties of communicating which most off us need practizing though. Lisle offers ok shopping and other services. Interesting birdlife around the house and for us rare orchids on the footpath to the village. Canoeing was really nice with a family of falcons practising flying above our heads. Grotte de Villars was very well organized and intriguing. Liked the pre-season sleepiness of a visit in June. This really is a region of fairytales and fantasys...

“Perfect, relaxing break in a beautiful house in a beautiful setting - exactly what we hoped it would be”
We had an amazing time at this lovely farmhouse near Grand Brassac. From the moment we arrived it was exactly what we had hoped for and more, made even better by the owner Lizette who was really lovely, friendly and welcoming - she even supplied a little welcoming hamper of some nice bread, cheese, jam, beer and wine, and some little easter eggs as we were staying over the Easter break. We were 2 families staying with 3 children and 5 adults - the house was just the right size for us, especially handy that it had 2 bathrooms. It was clean and well kitted out - plenty of games for entertainment (pool table and ping pong were a real bonus and the table football went down well too!) and a lovely woodburning fireplace, which we made use of because the first couple of nights we were there were still quite cold. The kitchen facilities were more than adequate so we could cater easily for ourselves, we even made use of the BBQ one evening. The pool was open for us to use aswell which was quite hard to find when I was looking for a proprety; this was the only one out of about 10 properties I looked at that had a pool that was open before May and was heated. It lived up to the expectations and the kids spent the majority of their time playing in the pool. Luckily the weather was lovely so the adults were more than happy to relax around the pool with them with some music and drinks. We only stayed for 4 days but could have happily stayed for longer, we definitely didn't make the most of the beautiful countryside and the surrounding area. There isn't much in the close vicinity except lovely countryside and some small villages (I think there are things like kayaking you can do, but as we were only there for a short time we didn't explore all the options). A little further away there are some bigger towns which a few of us visited on one of the days, and there is a supermarket within 15 minutes, which is open on a Sunday morning which is a benefit. We definitely intend to return to the farmhouse and to stay for longer next time, there were bikes available for the guests to use which all looked in good condition and would have been a lovely area to go riding around. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing break in the French countryside - perfect for families, couples of a group of friends. Thanks Lizette! See you soon...
