Description

Fistral Cottage, Pentire, Newquay sleeps 6 and is a wonderful place just to relax and unwind from the stresses and strains from home.Set in a quiet cul-de-sac in Newquay on land once owned by the Duchy of Cornwall, Fistral Cottage has been styled on a traditional old fisherman's cottage just like other dwellings around Bezant Place. The cottage continues to be a favourite place to get away from it all. Sleeping 6 comfortably in three bedrooms, with 2 bathrooms (1 bathroom en-suite), downstairs W.C., lounge, separate dining room and fully fitted kitchen. It has everything you need for your stay, Disney+, wi-fi and satellite TV, buckets and spades.You will be happy to know, that once your car is parked outside the house there is no need to ever use it again only when you wish to explore Cornwall and on your departure! All amenities are so close. The infamous Fistral Beach is within a couple of minutes walk from the cottage where you can surf, sunbathe, fish and swim in rockpools and even shop! So many restaurants and bars to choose from are within a few minutes walk.

Kitchen:The separate Kitchen is fully equipped with all the crockery and cooking utensils you could possibly need, and includes oven, gas hob with extractor, microwave, dish washer, fridge, washing machine, kettle and toaster.

Living Room: wonderful large, light and airy living room, furnished with large flatscreen TV with Sky. French doors open into rear garden with decked patio and outdoor dining area with BBQ.

Dining Room Separate dining room with table and chairs to sit 6, together with a high chair.

Downstairs Cloakroom with WC and washbasin.

Upstairs:Bedroom 1: furnished with a king-size bed, Laura Ashley furniture and flat screen Satellite TV. En-suite featuring a shower cubicle, wash basin and wc.

Bedroom 2: Twin bedded room with wardrobe and drawers

Bedroom 3. Furnished with twin beds free standing wardrobe and drawers.

Family bathroom features a bath, over the bath shower, wash basin and wc.-

Linen: All beds are made on arrival and guests are supplied with bath, hand towels, bath mats, dish clothes and tea towels.

Getting around

So easy to access the whole of Cornwall from Fistral cottage. There are regular flights in and out of Newquay airport which is a taxi drive away. Newquay Train station is within a 20 minute walk away. Alternatively there is a bus stop about a 3 minute walk from the cottage.

“Comfy cottage close to Fistral Beach”

Very comfortable and cosy cottage with all amenities. Close to the beach. We walked into town a couple of times too. We really enjoyed our time during October half term.

Response from the owner This is the first time after many years and numerous satisfied guests that we have had to withhold the damage deposit and it saddened us to have to do so on this occasion. As a courtesy we always contact our guests to make sure that have arrived safely and are happy with the cottage, as we did on this occasion. We take pride in ensuring the property is in excellent condition whether this being the décor or equipment and our trusted housekeepers of many years pride themselves on the cleanliness ready for guest arrival, said compliments can been viewed from other guests who have awarded us 5 stars and return year after year. We have never accused this guest of lying and made attempts to contact them to discuss the stain and to find a resolution, but they declined to answer our calls. The damage was photographed and witnessed personally by ourselves, the images were submitted along with suppliers replacement invoice to the letting agency for them to investigate and decide upon the outcome. We do try to cater for our guests needs for their stay, ‘a home from home’ we do include a supply of bin liners, toiletries, washing and dishwasher tablets and every cleaning product you could need to say but a few of them, we even leave spare light bulbs to avoid any inconveniences. We appreciate all feedback and we contact all guests to gain suggestion on how we may improve their stay and if they have any recommendation for future guests to enjoy.

“Great house and location”

Stayed with my family of surfers. Only a few minutes walk to check the waves and go surfing meant it was perfect. The house was spacious and well equipped for a family holiday, and Ian, the owner, was great in his communications.
