14 Channel View is a well furnished, fully equipped 1920's house on 3 floors offering almost 180 degree views over the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. The Blue Flag Porthmeor beach, St Ives only surfing beach, is only 100m away. The house has been described by visitors as a "perfect home from home" having large comfortable rooms, spacious luxury kitchen & 2 modern bathrooms with showers. All of the beds have good quality sprung mattresses providing that extra bit of coziness whilst from the the 2 front bedrooms and from the recently decorated lounge you can enjoy simply wonderful views right across St Ives Bay. Sit out and have a drink as you look across to Godrevy Lighthouse & beyond. It's a 5 minute walk into the town so an ideal haven from which to investigate the interesting back streets and alleys without being stuck right in the middle of all the action. We have 2 parking places right across the road from the house!

St Ives is arguably the UK's most beautiful seaside town & was voted the most popular British resort in 2020. It comes with gorgeous beaches, great surfing, an excellent range of restaurants & a great variety of shopping. For those who like walking, the South West Coastal Path is only 100m from the house.

Large picnic style bench. Showering off facility. Utility room with washing machine & tumble dryer. 2 large bedrooms with pocket sprung King size beds, both with wonderful views right across St Ives Bay. Both with wardrobes and a set of drawers. 2 further bedrooms, one with full size twin beds, wardrobe, & drawers, the second one with full size bunk beds, hanging space &; set of drawers. 2 luxury fully tiled bathrooms, one with a large shower, basin and toilet, the second with a full size bath and Grohe shower over, a basin and toilet. Modern high chair and travel cot provided.

Getting around

The train from St Ives go to the St Erth Park and Ride, stopping at Carbis Bay and Lelant on the way. Birdwatchers will find the platform at Lelant Saltings ideal for viewing over the Saltings. Please note Lelant Saltings station is mainly closed now with only 2 trains a day stopping there. Carbis Bay has a fantastic beach with all the same sort of beach facilities available in St Ives. From St Erth you can get the train into Penzance, lots of interesting shops here, also some very nice pubs for lunch.Going the other way you can get a train up to Truro or go all the way to Plymouth, surprisingly cheap!

“Great location if you don't mind a hill!”

Fantastic location, great choice of restaurants (you need to book in advance), great parking and beautiful beaches and wonderful shops. The house literally could be so much better if a bit of TLC was applied to things like the bedding quality, furniture very old, chipped mug!. A lot of money for 5 nights.

“Lovely house, perfect location”

Fantastic house in perfect location with big kitchen for family meals if eating in. Great washing facilities and outdoor area at the back and front of house. However if a bit unsteady on your legs it was quite a hike up the hill.
